Team played ok. OSU is not a great team. The field storming was beyond cringe. Shows how far we have fallen. Could the team start coming out to cochise by audioslave like they used to. That song gets you pumped up. Our song choices are just really bad.

Obviously winning is the goal. That’s not really what we are talking about. We are taking about ripping off other school’s traditions. I love buglers dream and that’s my point. We have had some cool traditions. Flavor of the month erodes identity imoYosefus wrote: ↑Mon Oct 06, 2025 11:34 amThey can storm the field, pass out towels, play whatever kind of music they want to matters not to me. JUST WIN! I am a proud boomer, only thing I do miss is that buglers dream on kick offs has lost its pizzazz. Otherwise play on kids!Seattleapp wrote: ↑Mon Oct 06, 2025 11:27 amWe’ll probably run out to enter sandman next home game. The funny thing is we had some pretty built in traditions of our own already and worked to shift from them. I guess back in black and hells bells were too Boomer

Is Oregon State a better team than Southern Miss, I could make that argument.

Oregon State is one of the top 4 most talented teams we will face this season but one of the bottom 4 worst coached teams. The goal line stand was amazing for us but what coach runs the same play 3 times like that? Turning a 1 yard play into a 5 yard play 3 times is bonkers.

Craziest thing to me is they have three plays inside the 3, two of which were inside the 1, and they don't run their 6'5 235 pound QB.

I’m guessing an injury to the quarterback’s non-throwing hand played a role in that decision. He couldn’t grip the ball.

Coaches make it more difficult than it needs to be sometimes. We did against Lindenwood at the 1. Up the gut from the 1 yard line is all that is needed 80% of the time.Hudson2002 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 06, 2025 12:55 pmCraziest thing to me is they have three plays inside the 3, two of which were inside the 1, and they don't run their 6'5 235 pound QB.

We have had many discussions over the years on this board about our QB's not being under center in short yardage situations.

That's what I was told by Oregon State fans. His hand injury meant no under center snaps.
There was a study done this year about under center versus shotgun in short yardage scenarios and the conversion numbers were almost even.

Good artists create; great artists steal.
They should play Dragula and Sabotage.

Sir...you clearly did not get the jokeBigdaddyg1 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 06, 2025 11:43 amAll of these teams have approximately 85 scholarship players so what difference does it make if there are 40,000 or 20,000 students? You wanna know why we lost this game? This game wasn’t lost today, and it wasn’t lost by athletes in uniforms. It’s much deeper than that.
Tiny App St… doesn’t accept losing.
FWIW OrSt has an enrollment of 38k, App 21k...by comparison JMU is 44k, GSU 52k, TxSt 41k...We've been beating them for years...so I guess what Im saying is its not about how big you are but rather how I you use it...
