Re: ODU Discussion
If quality teams can be had at other schools in the SB then it can be done at App. Loggains can have this year and next but if there isnt much improvement in 365 days its time to find the right AD and HC that can get us there.
Appalachian has everything and then some compared to the rest of the SB. There is no reason we shouldn't be top 3 in the SB year in and out.

Re: ODU Discussion
Why call a QB run if the QB isn't going to get out and run, don't go down early. That was a bad play call on our OC.

Re: ODU Discussion
How is that on the OC? The OC didn't drop to a knee short of the line when he was able to make it.... That's on Kohl.

Yank Kohl. He gave up on that play. If you’re scare to get hit then play another sport.

Swann time.
6’7 260 and sliding before the sticks.
And then we don’t go for it. Soft.

Re: ODU Discussion
Kohl is not a natural runner and does not embrace contact. We have a very good RB.. and choose to do a QB run.

Re: ODU Discussion
That was a bad play on the QB. It would’ve gotten the conversion if Kohl had run it right.

Re: ODU Discussion
So last staff gets 5 years to be great and this one only gets not even two with the late portal opportunity in year one? Seems a little quick.kornegaylw wrote: ↑Sat Oct 25, 2025 1:50 pmIf quality teams can be had at other schools in the SB then it can be done at App. Loggains can have this year and next but if there isnt much improvement in 365 days its time to find the right AD and HC that can get us there.

Re: ODU Discussion
I blame the OC because I am assuming (could be wrong) that he has been instructed to go down after that hard tackle last week when he came up gimpy and knowing that Swann is hurt and can't go if Kohl gets hurt. I am taking some liberties in my assumption.

Defense couldn’t hold forever.
Needed to go for every 4th and 1 we’ve had. But we punted.

Re: ODU Discussion
If we can't get any pressure in the backfield, we have very little chance to win.

Re: ODU Discussion
Exactly. He tried to hurdle a Coastal player and finish a run and was hurt. This week he slides because he was told to slide.t4pizza wrote: ↑Sat Oct 25, 2025 1:54 pmI blame the OC because I am assuming (could be wrong) that he has been instructed to go down after that hard tackle last week when he came up gimpy and knowing that Swann is hurt and can't go if Kohl gets hurt.
