He may not win the Heisman, but some pro scouts are prowling around.
He was getting looks last year, according to our coaches, and scouts are in Knoxville all the time so there is no doubt he is being seen by all 32 teams weekly.

I know Joey is not officially still a mountaineer, but have we ever had a QB make a pro team?
Armanti Edwards rings a bell. They wanted him as a receiver, but still agree QB making the roster of an NFL team.
If we are using this as a qualifier, then you can add Tavares Cadet to the list.

Not his best game but 268 yards passing. He's the first QB to go over 200 vs Bama this year. 1 TD vs 1 INT isn't great

On the pick six by Joey Dimes and the drop by our receiver at the goal line has similarity from one perspective... Instead of the QB throwing the hard pass, they took some off the throw to make an "easy catch" in their mind.... You can see on JJs throw to 1, 1 had to reach back to try to catch it. Ball still should have been caught. However, it would have been a more easy catch if more zip on it.

He graduated from App State, he is a Mountaineer and always will be. This isn't some dude who came and went, he actually has a degree and that changes the entire situation. Anyone who graduates from here is a Mountaineer for life.
touchy, aren't we? If/when he makes the pros, it will say Tennessee as his college.

When he starts on MNF and says Joey A. Appalachian State I'm going to be proud.

Same QB he was here. Just on a better team with skill guys everywhere. And a defense.
Better coaching

The announcers mentioned last night that his UT OC tweaked some things that helped him throw a better deep ball.

Joey still throws a few interceptions but so did Favre, Bradshaw, Fouts …. He has a “let it go” mentality in more ways than one.

👍Thumbs up👍 to our old QB and coach who has his team at 7-1 and ranked in the top 20. It may be a long shot for Cincy to make the playoff field with 4 tough games left on the schedule, but they are still in the fight with a month to go.

This football season has flown by at a fast pace.
