If it's true South Carolina didn't make the turn last year offensively until DLo's play calling duties were revoked, I don't think DLo has ever called a successful offense.

Most of my Gamecock friends said DLo was still involved in calling plays.
Ironically, they all want the current OC, Mike Shula, Fired.

Totally fair. I don't know the slightest about the Gamecocks other than they won't stop ducking us. It certainly has to be hard to call an offense when you lead the nation in dropped passes.

The in-house media is not going to turn on the head coach. They are literally on the payroll and it is their job to not “turn” on another employee of the university.

You are a member of the media and you are the one making this into more than it is and that to me is a bias. You feel motivated to be the guy leading the charge or slighted by Dowell for some reason based on this one comment.

That was a rumor spread by the USC fanbase. It’s more obvious than ever before that Dowell called the plays last year.

For the comments saying “if you have two QBs you have none”. Y’all seem to be forgetting that Swann is recovering from an MCL sprain. That is a serious injury that lands most NFL players on IR to miss 4+ games. We have had a bad case of injuries to key players this year. Despite that, we still have a bowl opportunity.

Is it possible he meant those who are outside the locker room? None of us have played a down, practiced a play, coached in a moment for that team, or worked the recruiting trail. I'm willing to give a guy who gave a response immediately after a frustrating loss a pass. I graduated from App and give my money to the program, but my feelings aren't hurt by his words.

I imagine Dowell is feeling a bit attacked as it is and could be on edge. I listened to one of the podcasts the other day following the Coastal game and the level of criticism for him in his first 7 games far outweighs any that fell on the last staff in 5 years. If anything, he is being treated as the outsider. I'll give the dude a pass for some less than perfect words following an emotional loss.
