If playoffs are the long term goal, it might be time to get out of the Sun Belt.

JMU still not even ranked in the college football playoff after beating us by 50. 8-2 Tulane is ahead of them. And probably North Texas.

Making observations of what isn't going well while understanding full well that DL is our coach for through 2027 is where I'm at. Pulling for him and staff to turn this thing around and would love for it to start Saturday. I'll be there rain or shine.

We were 4-2 and looking like a lock for bowl qualification. Then Shawn Collins and Thomas Davis — arguably our two best defensive players — each made selfish decisions and got kicked off the team. At about the same time, Jayden Ramsey, Trent Ramsey and Izayah Cummings — three of our most promising offensive players — went out with injuries, two of them season-ending. Injuries happen to every team, but if you were looking for improvement over the course of the season, then you haven’t been paying attention.
People have to remember this stuff. Clark did not enforce any type of accountability. I'm not saying Loggains is going to turn it all around but simply saying that he inherited a total mess, which Clark did not. We have seen some improvements. We have some folks here and on 247 who never wanted Loggains, don't want him to succeed because their initial thought is that he would not, and they were never going to like the guy who replaced an App legend. We have to give it some time. If we are 4-8 in year 3 then I will agree and call for his job.

I'm writing down the usernames of those who are arguing with me and liking the posts of those who are as well. I am going to hold them accountable next year or in 2027 if it looks like they need to eat crow. I might join them but will need to see ample evidence. We have to give Loggains a fair chance.
It's a message border of couch potatoes..you think people really care if someone is keeping receipts. I may disagree with a position on this coach or that coach. It is an opinion at the time. Announcing of taking names on a message board is so 2nd grade. If Loggains is still here and turns it around, one just makes a simple post...Great job coach...
I am marking names to remind you guys, if wrong, that it is why you should not jump to firing someone. Loggains is a human being with a family. His family could read this stuff. I think it is fair game when a coach deserves it but he has had to kick top players off the team, injuries decimated the OL, and he is in his first year. People who are wanting his head now and not willing to let it play out are childish and thinking in the moment. Those who are wanting him fired need to relax and give him a chance. If we get to year 3 and are missing bowl games I will be among the loudest but I am also among the level headed who believe we need to give it a real chance.

You also have to consider the finances. The only people who should be calling for anyone's job should be the ones with the money to pay the buyout. We are not even through year one. People need to relax.
Pot, meet kettle.
