Are we really going to allow this level of personal attacks on this board? There’s no need to talk to a fellow App fan like this. Also, two years ago, we played in the conference championship game. I wouldn’t call that a disgrace. If you’re going to throw an adolescent tantrum, at least get your facts straight.AppSt12 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 23, 2025 4:00 amAre you retarded? Are you a kid or just a really old person who barely produces testasterone anymore? You are literally celebrating having a 'chance' at being .500.
You people make me sick.

Ummm, we actually won a bowl game the year before last.APP93 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 23, 2025 7:36 amAfter 4 straight losses including the pounding by JMU, it was really great to see the fight (head scratching decisions/play calls aside)....with the 2005 team in attendance and a hard fought win it felt like App State football again, at least for one weekend in Boone.
After 2 straight seasons of no bowl game, it sure would be nice to finish 6-6 and get the extra game with a shot at a winning season.
Still a lot of work to do on this re-build and figuring out the model that works for us in this NIL/transfer portal era, but going on a 3 game win streak & bowl win to finish this mediocre season would be great momentum heading in to the off-season.

We don’t. I’ve been away. I’m going to clean it up. It’s going to involve deleting a bunch of posts. We do not have a particularly good team. We're an average Sun Belt team. Two conference wins is very disappointing. But if we win next week, maybe the rebuild can get us competitive in '27.

Yes, I stand corrected...thanks and how can I forget the Cure bowl rain fest in 2023. I was thinking of the 6-6 season in 2022 when App beat 2 FCS teams and Thus didn't qualify for the post-season.AppinATL wrote: ↑Sun Nov 23, 2025 3:48 pmUmmm, we actually won a bowl game the year before last.APP93 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 23, 2025 7:36 amAfter 4 straight losses including the pounding by JMU, it was really great to see the fight (head scratching decisions/play calls aside)....with the 2005 team in attendance and a hard fought win it felt like App State football again, at least for one weekend in Boone.

Re: FB vs the Thundering Turds, Sat at 2:30
Some of DL’s press conferences following recent beat downs have been head scratchers. That said, I give him props for owning that 2-pt play call. In HC years, DL is young. Taking responsibility like that shows he’s growing into the role, and that’s encouraging.
Bottom line:
Was it ugly? Yes. But the coaches and players didn’t quit and they found a way to win. And that’s what matters.
A month ago, would any of us have believed App would be heading into the season finale with a possible bowl bid at stake? Yet here we are…GO APP!

What’s wrong with wanting to win every game? It might be a pipe dream but why not?. It’s part of being a fan as long as if you don’t win every game you don’t have a meltdown on social media,ASUFan4863 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 23, 2025 1:07 pmMy larger response to that immature statement would be that everyone here wants to win every game. It doesn’t happen. It’s even harder in this era. I’ve pouted and got mad at enough losses to appreciate when the team wins. I encourage you to do the same. I appreciated that this team could have coiled up and given up after 4 straight losses. They could have given up down 21-9 with no momentum. But they never gave up. Despite losing almost half of the initial starters through different periods of the season, we still have something to play for in the 12th game. I appreciate that effort and the effort they have put in to give themselves this opportunity.

Not sure if this has been talked about? I’m sure it has but the F-35 flyover was next level.! Folks in Vilas had their Dentures rattled also. I have seen in the past couple weeks they had been doing practice through the linville gorge.

At the end of the game, I remember people throwing sweet potatoes on the field.

Did you mistype, or do you mean you think App won't be competitive next year?appgrad95&97 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 23, 2025 5:22 pmWe do not have a particularly good team. We're an average Sun Belt team. Maybe I'm too optimistic, but I think this team, after having another year to gel with the coaching staff, get healthy, and bring in some recruits/transfers, could be really good in 2026.
