Agreed. Ive been beating this drum for years. It is long past due to bowl in miller hill with seats. Long past due. Move the BOD over there so they can blast the entire stadium and all of campus. Put students on either side of them and let it be the hype section of the stadium. It doesn't need to be chair seating. It can be concrete stepped seating. Just do it. Kick the nostalgia people feel about that mud pit to the past where it belongs.

I don't see that ever happening, especially if they follow through with the east side renovations.appdaze wrote: ↑Wed Dec 03, 2025 10:13 amAgreed. Ive been beating this drum for years. If the beer table staff is that good, maybe they could help get the Athletics Department sorted?EastHallApp wrote: ↑Wed Dec 03, 2025 9:47 amWhile we are doing a complaint thread, let me take a quick break to praise the efficiency of the beer table staff. At least on the east side, they really keep those long lines moving quickly. Makes it easy to pop out for some in-game refreshment without missing much.
Just an idea.

The question I always ask about the hill is: Do the people who actually sit there hate it as much as the people who just don't like looking at it? And if not, whose opinion should carry more weight?appdaze wrote: ↑Wed Dec 03, 2025 10:13 amAgreed. Ive been beating this drum for years. It is long past due to bowl in miller hill with seats. I feel like the students love it. They seem to be having a big party.
For the Marshall game, there were empty sections on the student West side seating area..but Miller Hill was relatively packed

Re: Let's pile on Gillin!!!!!
This is why you replace it with stepped concrete bleachers. Let as many students who want to pack in there without the liabilities of a muddy hill. The students can stay. If you make that the main student section then you can free up other seating to generate greater revenue. So not, its not just about looks anymore. We could make that a premier student section with its own bathrooms and vendors behind it. Or another idea is what I mentioned earlier and move the BOD there for better sound to the stadium and it would also free up seating for greater revenue.BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Wed Dec 03, 2025 3:36 pmGood questionEastHallApp wrote: ↑Wed Dec 03, 2025 3:33 pmThe question I always ask about the hill is: Do the people who actually sit there hate it as much as the people who just don't like looking at it? Re: Let's pile on Gillin!!!!!
Speaking of bleachers, I would suggest that the east side expansion could be a good opportunity to install individual seats throughout the stadium. Or maybe everywhere but the student sections.
Would reduce total capacity, but that would be offset by the expansion. And the metal bleachers are becoming outdated as more stadiums move to higher-quality seating that doesn't force you to cram in next to strangers or have to battle them from encroaching on your section of metal.

I would like to see more of the Gold seats in KBS, at least between the 40's. I for one, would be willing to pay more for season tickets to sit in them, if available. I am surprised that something hasn't been done to eliminate the mud slides on Miller Hill from a liability standpoint. I think moving it closer to the field and terracing it could allow for students to have a congregation area while limiting the slides.EastHallApp wrote: ↑Wed Dec 03, 2025 3:59 pmSpeaking of bleachers, I would suggest that the east side expansion could be a good opportunity to install individual seats throughout the stadium. Re: Let's pile on Gillin!!!!!
I would agree that seatbacks throughout stadium would be great. However, I thought I had read that there were issues on the West side with the temporary seatbacks last year with how much space the seats took up and people getting in and out of the rows during games. Maybe it was not that big of an issue. Just remember a few posts about it being an issue to some.EastHallApp wrote: ↑Wed Dec 03, 2025 3:59 pmSpeaking of bleachers, I would suggest that the east side expansion could be a good opportunity to install individual seats throughout the stadium. Lambeau Field is the Cathedral and has 60,000 in aluminum bleachers without backs.EastHallApp wrote: ↑Wed Dec 03, 2025 3:59 pmSpeaking of bleachers, I would suggest that the east side expansion could be a good opportunity to install individual seats throughout the stadium. I don’t think Stadium Seats would work in the upper east due to leg room issues.

Mid 90s. Was a staple until like 2013. I hate the new intro and cheesy Yosef banjo. We went from badass to cartoonish.

Ditch east side tower. Add temp seating and pour all our hard earned dollars into a miserable NIl and maybe land better players. I can’t believe I just typed that.

Since we’re talking about stuff that has no chance of happening, how about bringing the Yosef clubroom back and in the stadium like the good old days.

As stated above, ditch the east side idea for now and spend the dollars to get better players. Our attendance is already slipping.( Decrease in attendance each home game.) Winning has usually cured most things . Get better players - win more games.

Re: Let's pile on Gillin!!!!!
I have not reviewed any financial information related to East Side.. however, in theory, long-term, isn't the revenue from the east supposed to provide more revenue so we can get better players? If revenue from East side can be used for nil.
