Assuming ~10 total boxes if some are 20 seaters.

I think it should be noted that I think DG is doing a good job, but as someone who worked in college athletics game day experience for a few years, I've got a few:

- removal of on-field in SE corner; blocks view of the endzone, and creates a "we're better than you" feeling for those who are in there (and not even watching/cheering for App)

- better in-game music; Use the classics that work (AC/DC, Seven Nation Army), add in some new power (Metallica or something), utilize Luke Combs, I'd even offer a little country power (Charles Wesley Godwin – albeit a WVU grad, 49 Winchester (from SW Virginia) are some local groups with that energy). Overall, in my opinion, the in-game stadium DJ is terrible. Not sure if it's an intern, a GA, or a company, but I don't even know half the songs, and I am in my early 30s. Let the band pay more* (when permitting). When a song clip ends, fade it out, don't just cut it. It makes the experience flow more smoothly, rather than being abrupt.

- Stop fighting with the band over airtime. Give them some earlier in-game moments, and the end of the game needs to be on an "as you go" basis. Mountain Music doesn't hit when you're losing by multiple possessions, but sometimes neither does a 30-second band hit.

- On that note, be more aware of the game vibes. If we're winning, good, upbeat music. If we're losing (gross), play more fitting music.

- I never want to hear "Can you FEEEEEEEEEL the energy at Kidd Brewer Stadium?" again. No disrespect to the PA. He reads it right. It's just an ill-fitting read.

- Our entrance is fine, I like the Yosef run-out with the musket firing, but I cannot stand the team running out of the north endzone. I miss the tunnel.

- We gotta fix in-flow and out-flow. They have removed the "Season Ticket Entrance" at the west entrance. That felt like a nice little perk of having season tickets; my line was a little shorter. The massive crowd shuffling out of the gates sucks, too.

- Stop doing the "App" "State" graphic when we're on offense.

- "Mountain Music" should be the 1/2 quarter break song & the "App" "State" chant should be our traditional 3/4 quarter break happening.

- We gotta instruct the crowd on what to do during kick-offs (the pointing thing). It's disheartening to see the players and coaches not doing it, and only 20% of the stadium. I'd also like them to let one student be the flag-bearer and wave the App flag from the student section. Make it a permanent flagpole, and one student gets to hold the position each game or something. We have traditions, let them prosper.

I probably have more, but I'm too busy procrastinating work to remember them all.

Leave current sideline student section as is; it is always energetic & interesting.
Most schools don't give sidelines to the students; what we do is a plus.
In my opinion moving students out of sideline seating has not been a positive move.

Hire this guy. except I disagree about the entrance. IMO we've gone from bad ass Sean Connery, AC/DC, Black out uniforms to Mickey Mouse and the mouseketeers.

The entrance is anti -climatic..it's a downer..does get the crowd in a frenzy
I am with most people on here ..the banjo and mountain music is cheesy... I believe it is the reason we have struggled on the field the last several years 😂😂😂

Yup, 007 followed by Back in Black was my favorite entrance. It was shaping into a killer tradition. It's too bad the program can't seem to leave cool things alone.

My favorite entrance ever was actually Can't Be Touched playing over a hype video. Always got me fired up, anyway.

Back in Black is good too (I actually give the edge to Hell's Bells for entrance music, but I get that it's not as on-theme). The Connery clip never quite landed with me, though.

Fix Miller Hill with Astro turf or seats. Looks horrible with mud and trash all over it.
Agreed. Ive been beating this drum for years. It is long past due to bowl in miller hill with seats. Long past due. Move the BOD over there so they can blast the entire stadium and all of campus. Put students on either side of them and let it be the hype section of the stadium. It doesn't need to be chair seating. It can be concrete stepped seating. Just do it. Kick the nostalgia people feel about that mud pit to the past where it belongs.
The question I always ask about the hill is: Do the people who actually sit there hate it as much as the people who just don't like looking at it? And if not, whose opinion should carry more weight?
The ones who pay for the tickets.
ummmm,,,,, Student Fees......
Also, our students carry our crowd (and they show up for games). Don't take anything away from the students, unless it enhances their experience.

Go talk to Doug!

My only notes:
-end zone entrance was great a while back. The blowup helmet created a nice atmosphere. People got up when it started moving.

- agree about music non stop. Never allows students to get into it organically. We sat behind the students a couple times this year, and they were terrible. I thought they were stupid at first, then realized they were just waiting for the music.

- kickoff , I am ok with the song prior since the kids get into it. But stop it during the kickoff and let the band lead… like old days

Again. No orchestration today. Idk who is in charge of it

Not taking anything away from the students and well aware of what those fees are as I have a child there. Missing an opportunity for meaningful revenue. Appreciate you standing up for the little man though.
