I think that mainly shows 2 things. If you had a coaching change recently then you can reload with the portal for players that better fit that coach and go on to win. The second thing is that if you are one of the top 5 premier programs you dont have to portal for players all the time as you get the cream of the crop HS right out the gate. They don't need to play somewhere to get experience. They are just ready.

You’d be suprised. Georgia has had plenty of guys poached and transfer out. Even suing one of them for not paying his buyout back.

I hope UGA wins that suit. Not sure everyone realizes the basis of it:

Contract was from Dec 1, 2024 - Jan 31, 2026 for $500,000.

UGa paid $30,000 on Christmas Day ‘24 as 1st installment.

Player entered portal on Jan 6, 2025 after cashing said check. Contract clearly stated buyout.

Wondering if we will go after their 4* backup, Air Noland. Seems like a good kid trying to find a starting role. I don’t believe DLo recruited him to South Carolina, but the kid played HS ball in Atlanta, so maybe there’s a connection or relationship.

I was digging into that a little because I wondered the same thing. There isn’t direct links between the two, but I put the following timeline together:
- Loggains hired by South Carolina from Arkansas in Dec, 2022
- Noland visits Arkansas in March, 2023
- Loggains hired by App from SC in early Dec, 2024
- Noland visits and transfers to SC in late Dec, 2024

It may be naive thinking, but I have to assume they had some previous contact for them to overlap so closely.

Couldn’t agree more. Quit taking the easy way out. Dig your heels in, practice and get better with your brothers. NFL doesn’t give those 2nd chances for borderline guys.

I don’t like where cfb is as much as anyone, but there’s something disgusting about the guy making $12MM a year telling the guys (mostly) making a small fraction of that to be happy with their place and not try to make more money? Would anyone agree if the CEO of wal mart said the same thing to the front line workers that make 1/10000 of what he does? I wouldn’t.


We had a chance to fix college football but when you have coaches making many times more than the university CEOs this was only ever going to lead to this.

I would rather go after the wcu qb than a guy that was 4th on uscjr depth chart. If he was backup to sellers and wanted to prove himself then yeah I’d be down but 4th? Such a shame how much cfp has changed as just 6 years ago we played them with a clearly superior team and now we’re talking about bringing on their 4th backup qb
