Yes he was, but I am skeptical and not getting overly excited about a Second Team All-Conference DII player in the South Atlantic Conference. The South Atlantic produces such powerhouses as Newberry, Carson-Newman, Catawba, Mars HIll and other well know football schools. I know that Trinidad Chambliss just showed the world that there are some really good players in DII, but he also won the Natty at that level. My best guess is that he is a work in progress, I would like nothing more than to be wrong and he dominate from the get-go. Just doesn't seem too likely to me.

From what we all saw of our OL this season, I would say starters are the priority there. At least to my eyes it should be.

I do believe we are attempting to get starters. IMO, OL and DL are the most difficult positions to get good players. P4 covet them greatly. They will pay more than us to get backups...and tell the kid he will have every opportunity to earn a spot in the process whether actually true or not.

I think that’s part of the strategy as well to recruit so heavily out of HS. If we want to be a developmental program in this new era, we have to offer opportunities for players to play right away - even OL and DL.

We have Sweatt, Williams, Ramsey coming back, who all started.

Dennel Nix was an unknown who signed in February out of high school and is now being courted by OK State and Oklahoma. So, I do believe OL recruiting from high school is better than it was in the past.

Absolutely a good pickup. I would be curious to know what happened at Pitt that saw him disappear before the season started.
