Over 50% from the floor and mid 40s from 3.. that's a great day for App. St.
Personally, I am not a fan of "feeding the hot guy" if everyone else is playing decently. Let it work within the confines of the offense. If everyone else is throwing bricks, maybe you design some plays, etc.

Re: 1/22-23 - MBB - UL and ULM, Double Noon Special
Jennings is hitting the 3 at 38% on 108 attempts. Marcus is at 35.7% on 56 attempts. Tot is 34.6% on 136 attempts. Dodd is 35.1% on 74 attempts. Banks, Clarke and Njock all under 21% from 3. Brim is at 42% but only 14 attempts.
As a team, we are shooting 61% from the line. Jennings and Dodd are at 76.8% and 72.7%, respectively. Marcus and Tot are each over 66%. Luke is 52.7% on 131 attempts. Banks is 50% on 18 attempts. Njock is actually our 2nd best FT shooter at 75% on 28 attempts. Moodie is 34.4% on 32 attempts.

What is the deal with Njock - has not logger any minutes in 3 games, and what is the deal with playing Brim for 1 or 2 minutes at random times in a game...both are odd?NattyBumppo'sRevenge wrote: ↑Fri Jan 23, 2026 9:58 amJennings is hitting the 3 at 38% on 108 attempts. They are both freshman that probably aren’t ready to be big contributors this season. I think that is disappointing for Njock because many thought he would be a contributor this season.

I agree, but I also think a big reason Moodie and Banks are getting significant minutes and Brim and Njock are not is for defense and rebounding, which could also be due to being freshmen and still learning.ASUFan4863 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 23, 2026 11:10 amThey are both freshman that probably aren’t ready to be big contributors this season. Re: 1/22-23 - MBB - UL and ULM, Double Noon Special
I feel sorry for Brim actually 1-2 minute spurts do not build confidence per game, he has to always be on edge to shine when he is in. I get not all players are equal and ready but that is such a hard position to try and do anything and not fail. It builds hope and disappointment at the same time. Njock was playing good minutes all season until the last 3 games and literally is getting zero minutes - he brings energy, I think he might have a nagging injury or got in trouble (both are speculation by me) ? Player rotation is one thing but a dead stop in minutes...the optics say something happened?ASUFan4863 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 23, 2026 11:10 amThey are both freshman that probably aren’t ready to be big contributors this season. Not sure why we’re jacking up so many 3s when the inside guys seem to be open.

Based on his play, probably should be getting more minutes.asu2000 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 23, 2026 11:21 amI feel sorry for Brim actually 1-2 minute spurts do not build confidence per game, he has to always be on edge to shine when he is in. So can't hit a 3 for a long time and then Marcus hits one.

surprisingly, only Jennings hits at a higher percentage than Marcus of guys with significant attempts.

Re: 1/22-23 - MBB - UL and ULM, Double Noon Special
This is a really really tough team to watch offensively. Especially if the three ball is not falling the offense is atrocious.
