I know nothing and all I can see is what I've been reading. With that said, this doesn't look good and seems to have been going for a good decade or so while being buried by the administration. As usual with one of these cases, people are coming out of the wood works with stories. Only time will tell what happened, what truths will come out, and what people are willing to do about it.

Sounds to me that it was dealt with once they got the tangible information that was required to do so.

I am not sure how one can conclude that this was "buried by the administration" without plausible evidence to conclude so.... Unless one has inside information on what facts were provided to the administration during the original investigation and university did not act upon credible evidence at the time. If the only information one has is the information in the link, there is no way to know. That is pure conjecture.
One can make many wild ass guesses.
Investigation was not very good
, investigation was very thorough however no one spoke up at the time for whatever reason.
A variety of other reasons.
I think one should let the story take it's course. Eventually, the truth will come out

For me, the first thing that comes to mind is I feel sorry for the victims of these events.

I tend to agree with this statement except for the part about the 2015 investigation not turning anything up but then in 2018 a former Interlochen student alerting App State to allegations at Interlochen. Combined with 2015 and someone OUTSIDE contacting App in 2018 that should have alerted App State to do a bit more than put the Interlochen person in contact with counselors. That does come across as brushing this aside some. I would have liked to have read "After the 2018 contact we did more investigation just to make sure nothing was missed from 2015. That could include App State reaching out to Interlochen to alert them of the allegations and maybe the two institutions could have worked together to dig a bit deeper."

I think you need to read what I said again. I know nothing of the situation other than what I am reading, and the stories coming out would point in the direction of the administration pushing things under the rug. It may be true or it may not be true. You all should go to other sites and read through the comment sections, news sites and social media sites. Edit: Looks like multiple sites I read the other day have scrubbed their comment sections, typical.

Overall this just isn't something you want to be tied to. Like I said in my first post, as you have also said, the truth will come out eventually.

From the article:
"The university is aware that Ross’s prior employers included the Interlochen Center for the Arts — a nonprofit organization that operates arts education programs in Interlochen, Michigan — from 1992 to 2000."

From the internet:
"Jeffrey Epstein attended the Interlochen Center for the Arts summer camp in 1967 and became a major donor from 1990 to 2003, funding the construction of a campus lodge that bore his name. A recent investigative report identified Epstein as one of 47 adults accused of sexual misconduct at the institution, with two former students alleging he engaged in sexual conduct with them while they were affiliated with the school.

Following these allegations and the release of Department of Justice records, Interlochen demolished the Green Lake Lodge (formerly the Epstein Lodge) in June 2026 to sever any physical connection to the late sex offender. The investigation, conducted by the Sanghavi Law Office, uncovered decades of abuse spanning the 1950s to the 2010s, prompting Michigan lawmakers to seek further inquiries into the school's historical ties to Epstein."

My comment was a general comment about what the article contains. Not enough information in the article to conclude anything. As stated, the story will eventually come out. If the university did a thorough investigation at the time, great. If not, it will be on the university to pay the price so to speak. Overall, I prefer to get the actual conclusions as compared to court of public opinion from folks that were near/close to the actual chain of events..not some yo-yos like us on a message board.

I drew zero conclusions/projections.. whatever term you want to use. My initial reaction is that it is sad for the victims.

And hopefully what happened was not severe. There are levels to this and none of it is good but it is one thing to say something and then another that might include contact and that ramps this up a notch.

If something could and should have been done in 2018 and what happened after 2018 was severe and could have been averted I do trust at this point for the current admin to handle this correctly. I am not sure who is around now in a position of power that was around then in a position of power and I would want them held responsible for what was not done but should have been done but I have no reason to think that will not happen. If the victims are satisfied with this then that speaks for this and if they are not satisfied then more will come out I am sure. But as you alluded to, we do need to jump to conclusions.

Good Sir or Madam, you directly quoted me in quotations, you just didn't use the quote feature from this website. If you don't want to reply to someone specific, then don't put their words in quotations. You should spend more time reading instead of playing. Anyway, its still a terrible situation for App to find itself in, especially with the ties that Ross had to an institution getting trashed right now for Epstein ties. The truth will hopefully come out, or get buried, we shall see.

Here's the original investigation by the Detroit Free Press on Interlochen. Ross is not (yet) connected to these, but was probably the public records request mentioned in the message.

The institution getting trashed is the institution in Interlochen I assume to which you refer. I had not heard the Epstein connection to that place. Though I know the Interlochen institution is or was highly thought of.

Edit: I read the Detroit news article after I replied so I see it now.
