It was a home game for Tulane and the Ragin' Cajuns are close by of course. Still that is not a bad number. I watched a few minutes of the game and it looked to be well attended. The Famous Idaho Potato Bowl however seemed to be very thin. It looked like the vast majority of the crowd was wearing red and the energy of the Tulane fans there was piss poor compared to that of the Cajun fans.
Good win for the SBC. The Sun Belt Conference absolutely owns CUSA head to head and it's only going to get worse when all the new additions for each league join as full members.

Yeh, watched the Eastern Washington game with a whopping 6800 in attendance. Probably North Dakota and Montana are only two FCS schools with good fan bases and even though N. Dakota'splace is loud it is only 15,000 or so fans. Glad we're out of this FCS stuff.

Obviously not saying that it would suck to win the Sun Belt. I am saying that it would be nice if the conference champion were ensured the preferred bowl destination.
