Don't give a dang @ any hitch in Penny Smith's throwing style. Things like that can be changed if they have to. Who was it, Drew Brees that they talk about that has a hitch. Penny is also more fluid. Effortless passing. Our coaches could make him into a world beater, but guess we will never see that now. Almost unheard of for player to go FCS instead of FBS.

Those that say that Penny will not see any time at QB for three years at UTC are correct though. Going into UTC and beating out the coaches son for starting QB is never going to happen. Heck Robinson was a much better QB, had great running ability also, but just left UTC recently. Bet he was frustrated to death. When UTC 's favorite son QB was injured against Georgia Southern in 2012 Robinson came in and made a miraculous comeback to lose near the goal line by one point. Next week it was like it had never happened and coaches son back as QB. Robinson was POW in SoCon believe. Didn't do him a lot of good at UTC.

If he's the best QB recruit you've seen at App he would be starting in 2015 for UTC.

Eaton took an official at the Western game. Posted the pics and spent the weekend here. It's why he's not coming now. Same thing with Chandler Greer. He's been here 4 or 5 times but also took his official at one of the games. We're not really used to it the way we've recruited the past many years. We've always had recruits for games to experience the Rock but since we didn't often offer until after the season, most were unofficial. This year was different. While we still had a bunch of unofficial visits many took officials on game weekends, both for the experience and to meet with faculty. It's why several of the commits on the list aren't down for the next two weekends. They've already been here.

R Canty to Vandy yesterday.

Sam Blue could end up playing for Georgetown football from my source. He visited last weekend. Smart kid who is looking long term at education over playing football at a higher level. He ended up making All State this year. 4.4GPA

Can't argue with a free ride to Georgetown. If it matches with your goals and priorities go for it. But I might suggest come play ball in Boone and go to grad school at Georgetown.

Apparently according to tweets, he was offered by Western and then the offer was withdrawn after someone else committed.

Just kind of grazing tweets last night, but I noticed Matt Eaton sent Shaedon Meadors a tweet "something big is finna happen". Anyone think that could be in relation to App?

Believe me I've been following every one of these guys. Commits, offers, interest, current players, and people that just mention App in passing. My follows on twitter far outnumber my followers and my bookmark list for my search engines is even longer. There really is no telling with these guys sometimes. I can tell you the facts as I know them. Coach Stepp was in Mississippi in the last two days. Meadors said last night that he was announcing tomorrow. Other than that anything else is pure speculation. I'm spending most of my time trying to find out who all is coming this weekend and next. It seems like some guys are shuffling visits around, maybe hoping for better weather but there are only two weekends left so it's now or never. Personally I'm guessing that next weekend will be bigger than this weekend but that's just a guess. It's a crap shoot in Boone this time of year no matter what. All we do know is this weekend will be beotch cold. All we can do is hope for the best. I'll update as more info come in.

What's your Twitter handle, if you don't mind? I would like to follow you.

Thanks,

@FiremooseT

Either one will get you to me in search. Had my name listed on my old account but I got mistaken for someone else and started getting not so nice messages. Decided to change it up a bit. Fair warning. I'm pretty boring. I dig more than I post...LOL

Yeah, it is all speculation at this point. I do think it's interesting that their common ground in offers is with App. Maybe I'm being overly optomistic, but having both of them would scare DB's all over the belt.

Just a quick update. WR Shaedon Meadors is set to announce at 2:00 pm tomorrow. We'll see but it appears to be down to App and ODU. He's been projected to ODU for a while, with his QB committed there but he does have friends on the current App roster so 50/50. At least we're in the running.

RB J'vonte Harrod has tweeted that his #1 is now Southern Miss. And LB LaGrande Harley is tweeting that he will have three hats on the table for signing day. Personally I'm thinking it's much more about attention than schools other than USF having a chance with him but we'll see.

The visit list for this weekend is pretty quite so far. Normally the "going to App" tweets start coming in either tonight or tomorrow morning so I'll be watching closely and will update as soon as I know some more.
