Re: Recruiting, 2014
Taking the best WR GSU is recruiting is a nice get.
Just watched his tape, TJ Courman that could also play DB comes to mind. Kid can play on all three phases of the game.
GSU's 9 three star recruits have something in common, only three have other FBS offers, which is very odd for three star players. I don't think all of them will make it for one of two reasons.

Re: Recruiting, 2014
your right, that strange to supposedly have so many 3 star players, but few other offers from larger schools. The only thing I can think of is maybe some of these kids have issues off the field that is making the larger schools hesitate. This is a new coaching staff that wants to make a big impression right out of the gates, maybe they are willing to overlook some problems off the field for positive contributions on the field.

I don't know how to react to what you just said... that essentially any 3-star recruit wouldn't have committed to AppState unless they have some issues. I think you didn't mean it to come out that way, but that's my takeaway. Also, I've seen quite a battle for several of our recruits that we lost to SEC and Big 10 schools, so I think we are getting quality players and students.moehler wrote:your right, that strange to supposedly have so many 3 star players, but few other offers from larger schools. AppState has a lot of very positive things to offer students and athletes. We have excellent academics, tremendous facilities, fans support and a true FBS atmosphere, and what's more, we are a program used to winning that is joining the top non-AQ conference in football this fall. I think we have a lot to offer to be competitive with other schools.

If that's the case, my bad. Could have put GSU in his post to avoid confusion.appst89 wrote:GoAppsGo92 wrote:I don't know how to react to what you just said... that essentially any 3-star recruit wouldn't have committed to AppState unless they have some issues. The post directly above his refers to GSU's 9 three-star recruits not having any other FBS offers

Ok. Quoting is your friend. Probably not a nice or accurate thing to say about GSU's recruits either, but carry on.appst89 wrote:GoAppsGo92 wrote:If that's the case, my bad. I thought it was implied I was talking about GS recruits since I was responding directly to the post from saint . Sorry about the confusion, in the future I will make sure I spell it out for you.

Re: Recruiting, 2014
Just wanted to let everyone know that it appears that my twitter account has been compromised. For those who follow pay no attention and delete anything that comes from it. I'm working to find out what's going on but I'll be deleting it before noon. I'll let those of you who follow know when I get a new one set up. Just another thing to have to do right before signing day, as if I needed any more.
Also I'll have some news on visitors as soon as I can get all this other bs handled.

You may just have to change the password for your twitter account to fix it.firemoose wrote:Just wanted to let everyone know that it appears that my twitter account has been compromised. Re: Recruiting, 2014
I did try that and posts were still being sent out. Talked to the PTB's and they said I would need to deactivate it and start with a new account. Going to take a while but I'll get it done and I'm adding a couple of layers of protection. I appreciate the suggestion though.bh2oson wrote:You may just have to change the password for your twitter account to fix it.firemoose wrote:Just wanted to let everyone know that it appears that my twitter account has been compromised. Re: Recruiting, 2014
A bunch of them weren't rated at all before committing to GSU in the past few days and don't appear to be rated by other sites, which is also pretty odd for 3* recruits a week before signing day. I know 247 seems to be the most generous recruiting site at handing out 3*, so maybe it's just that.Saint3333 wrote: GSU's 9 three star recruits have something in common, only three have other FBS offers, which is very odd for three star players. Re: Recruiting, 2014
App offer ATH Hunter Renfrow (5′ 11″ 170) of Socastee High School in Myrtle Beach, SC has decided to take the PWO offer from Clemson. Not a huge surprise as he's a SC recruit with ties to Clemson and with all the WR commits we've gotten. Now if we can just keep all of them.

Re: Recruiting, 2014
I'm guessing the timing of Isaiah Lewis' commitment and Renfrow's decision is not a coincident.
Re: Recruiting, 2014
Per Rivals, Clemson has 4 wide receivers in this class, 3 are 4 star, 1 is 3 star, if all sign, and they live up to their potential, plus what they have returning, it's probably going to be a long time before he gets on the field, he must really love Clemson
