Pretty sure we could Fed Ex Elon the play book, they are just really bad. Yes I was as the Citadel game and I know App is capable of laying an egg, it won't happen Saturday.

I don't think so, but I don't think they can stop us either. I don't know where those plays came from, but I liked them.
Nice to meet you yesterday at the tailgate. Stop by next weekend, if you come up.

Hell JCline, Elon couldn't even stop EricB on FB dives - the most basic play in the history of football - they won't have a clue where to start looking at our playbookJCline0429 wrote:Did we show Elon too much of our playbook yesterday?

It's kind of nice to be able to say that again, isn't it?WVAPPeer wrote:Hell JCline, Elon couldn't even stop EricB on FB dives - the most basic play in the history of football - they won't have a clue where to start looking at our playbookJCline0429 wrote:Did we show Elon too much of our playbook yesterday?

Re: Elon next week
I thought that the handoff to the WR who turned it into an option play was very creative. I had never seen that before. It really stretches the defense.

I need to watch that again on GoASU, along with the huddle and QB under center play. Were those both 3rd quarter? I can't remember.AppSt94 wrote:I thought that the handoff to the WR who turned it into an option play was very creative. I had never seen that before. It really stretches the defense.

Re: Elon next week
It all depends on their defensive line. If their defensive line beats our O Line like EZU did, they'll limit our offensive playbook no matter our personnel. Just my humble opinion.WVAPPeer wrote:Hell JCline, Elon couldn't even stop EricB on FB dives - the most basic play in the history of football - they won't have a clue where to start looking at our playbookJCline0429 wrote:Did we show Elon too much of our playbook yesterday?

It was certainly nice meeting you and all the others, but I hope I didn't talk your head off.

The thing is, Eloan would rather beat us than anyone on their schedule. I just hope you guys are right, as I like nothing better than beating the burnt birds. They'll be going for our guys knees, that's a given.

I am pretty sure that the WR option was in the 1st half but I don't know which quarter. They were heading toward the endzone toward the hill if that helps.
Re: Elon next week
It looks as though Coach Satterfield has been paying very close attention to what Oregon has been doing, this is refreshing compared to last year....Looks like the guys are catching on quite well with plays.

Re: Elon next week
I would think both plays will be on the coach's show this week. There needs to be a fast forward option so I can scan quickly for a few plays.AppSt94 wrote:McLeansvilleAppFan wrote:I need to watch that again on GoASU, along with the huddle and QB under center play. I have seen several high schools run that.AppSt94 wrote:I thought that the handoff to the WR who turned it into an option play was very creative. I had never seen that before. It really stretches the defense.
I also liked the reverse off that shovel play.

Re: Elon next week
Not trying to pick nits here, but this is important. That was not a handoff to the WR who then ran the option play. That was a forward pass to the WR who then ran the option. If the WR drops the ball, it's just an incompleted pass. Of course, the WR must be sure not to pitch the ball forward, and so the 2nd guy MUST catch the pitch else it is a fumble.AppSt94 wrote:I thought that the handoff to the WR who turned it into an option play was very creative. I saw that shuttle pass play twice. On one of those plays the WR pitched it; on the second, he did not pitch it.
I LIKE!!! Satterfield is genius.

Re: Elon next week
We ran the shovel-pass sweep a good bit in the game. One time it became an option pitch which was something I haven't seen before.

I hope you're right. A caveat, we've had times we had trouble stopping B ourselves, though.WVAPPeer wrote:Hell JCline, Elon couldn't even stop EricB on FB dives - the most basic play in the history of football - they won't have a clue where to start looking at our playbookJCline0429 wrote:Did we show Elon too much of our playbook yesterday?
