Personally, I do not see Dillard as a huge loss. He was an undersized DT in a 3-4 scheme which usually does not pan out well. IF that is the only loss of the day then that will be just fine.

would love to know the thought process of Eaton choosing Temple, he obviously loved all the attention he got during the recruiting process, and he seems to be a kid who might need his ego stoked to stay motivated, so if that's true, why would you go play at a school that consistently one of the worst programs in the FBS, playing in front of15 thousand in a stadium that seats 75 thousand, in a city that could care less about supporting collage football? Wish him well, hope it works out for him, but still, strange.

My feelings on these types of recruitments is that they more often than not end up in transfers. Eaton might be a great player for them and get drafted ala Bernard Pierce or Muhammad Wilkerson, but to this point it has been a show, and after today it isn't about him anymore. Things don't always look as great as they did a week before signing day.

It was mentioned a few days ago that Jordan Noil decommitted from Maryland and did visit App with his high school teammate earlier.

I wonder if this may be one of the surprises if we can land him??

Would fill a need after losing both Walton and Alex Gray. We need a true ball hawk at FS and this kid has that role covered.

By my count the only official commit left is Meadors. They say expect more. Looks like more than one and I'm not sure that one is Meadors. We'll have to wait to see. Time for a BREAK!!!

No it wasn't. Nothing I've heard from the staff said that Dillard was wavering. Biggest problem is he doesn't post very much so it's hard to get a read on him from the outside.

NC's ratio of number of FBS-level prospects to FBS programs (and, more importantly IMO, BCS programs) simply isn't as favorable as those in Georgia, Florida or even SC.

That's pretty much the way it's been in recent history. NC is saturated with FBS schools and has a relatively small talent pool in the first place.

I'll take Georgia players any day of the week.

I think it's been said on here before, but or staff is having to re-establish relationships with the NC high schools, so that could explain the drop off. I would also expect to see our recruiting net expand out to the states we'll be playing in.

We did offer 28 so far from NC with only 4 commits. It's not like we didn't offer anyone but as has been pointed out the competition is stiff in NC for less players.
