Our average attendance the year before our Michigan win was over 20,000 which is more fans than UNCC has ever played in front of-home or away. After their first loss, they only had one sell-out, which was homecoming. In order to buy a win, their last game of the season was played somewhere called Morehead Kentucky in front of 1,443 fans (probably an inflated number).

If you are going to troll our board and try to stir things up, you might want to avoid the area of fan support. You will lose.

I always enjoy his articles and appreciate his coverage. Sounds like we got a good group. The coaches worked tirelessly on this. I'm very excited for the future!

Going to add this one to the PWO list. The tweet below is one of about 20 from today. I've got a few more football players that I'm following that have stated they are visiting App and some that have already been accepted into school but this is the first one I've seen saying they're coming for football.

Congrats to my brother @kyle_perez! He's on his way to Appalachian State to play football! Congrats bro, you earned it! #bullpen

DB Kyle Perez (5' 10" 170) of American Heritage High School in Plantation, FL.

Side note. I have the 2015 Football Main Page up to date and all the player pages built for the "Reported offers". Yosef will be adding it to the recruiting tab soon. I'll post in the 2015 thread once it's up and available.

It's been reported by 2015 App offer RB Trai Sharp in an interview with 24/7 that his teammate, 2014 WR Marlin Johnson (6' 2" 205) of Carrboro High School in Carrboro, NC, is coming to App. I'm going to add him to the Other Newcomers section of the Main Page. He's a walk-on but I'm just not sure yet if it's a PWO or not. His NCSA and hudl profiles are linked below. Both have video highlights.

Walk-on info is tough to come by so far this year but I'll keep digging and posting as I see more names come up.

Marlin Johnson really looks good catching the ball in traffic. I don't know what type of competition that Carrboro faces but he looks like a man among boys against those db's.

Carrboro is Class 2A, three up from the lowest division. Not a big school but it isn't stopping Sharp from picking up several BCS offers so far.

I thought Johnson looked pretty good also going after catches. Big difference in competition here but we'll see if he can do anything this fall.

He looks pretty good. Could be a sleeper coming in for us. Kevin Richardson was a sleeper for sure.

It's never bad to add PWOs from schools where you hope to recruit in the future. With one having a teammate with an offer and the other from S. Florida, sounds like both of these could fit that bill.

We have another Perez, nearly the same size, saying he's coming to App for football and baseball. Going out on a limb here and saying they are related. ;)

The is WR Dallas Perez (5' 9" 170) of American Heritage High School in Plantation, FL. I'm going to add him to the Other Newcomers section on the Main Page. His hudl package is linked below along with a newspaper article about him. His MaxPreps profile lists him as an OF for baseball.

Another PWO. I can't edit the 2014 Main Page right now so I'll post the info here.

PK Stephen Bridges (5' 11" 175) of Christ School in Arden, NC has accepted a PWO offer to App. Article linked below.

Have another PWO I believe to add to the list.

NG/DT Reginald "Nic" Johnson (6' 1" 285) of Holly Springs High School in Holly Springs, NC has said on twitter he's coming to App to play. I had him on my personal list from last recruiting season but never saw an offer so I didn't add him to the board. We were showing interest in him as he has, in his twitter pics, one of the recruit cards we send out with App pics and his picture on it. I'll link his hudl package below. Help in the trenches is always a good thing. He's got a good first step and is only 15 lbs away from 300.

Nic Johnson @NicNineSeven
It's OFFICIAL I'm happy to say that I will be playing college football at APPALACHIAN STATE UNIVERSITY!

This is great news, you can never have enough defensive linemen, can't wait for season to begin

From Tommy Bowden and the WSJ; WR Jaylan Barbour (5′ 10″ 170) of Monroe High School in Monroe, NC, an App offer from last year who signed with Wake Forest and was recently released from his NLI, has signed with App today. I will be updating the 2014 Main Recruiting Page ASAP to show him as a signee.

I trust Tommy on this but I've also got messages in to the staff to confirm and find out all the particulars. I'll update as quickly as I can. This is a serious pickup who will bolster our already good class of WR's coming in. He is a Rivals, 24/7 and ESPN 3 star with offers from Duke, ECU, NC State, South Carolina, UNC, UNCC, Wake, and WVU. I'm working on getting the stats and highlights as he committed to Wake before I had a chance to put them up last year.

Sorry everybody. I was on the phone but this has been confirmed. And since he was released from his NLI and never player for Wake he is able to join the team and play this fall. I am moving him to the signee section next. Have also updated his player page with two youtube video clips from 2012. And FYI, this signing now gives us the #1 Sun Belt class on the 24/7 site (passing Ga. Sou) :D
