My Son's first game.
My Son's first game.
I took my 4 year old to his first game Saturday! I have to admit I was quite worried as we drove up from Greensboro in the pouring rain. He weathered the rain like a champ, the sun finally came out and we had a blast. I thought his head would explode from the grin on his face as he hi-fived probably 50% of the team as they ran into the lockers at the half. A big thanks to the players for that little effort.

Absolutely too cool!!! Hope to see you at many more games. My wife and I have been bringing my 2 sons to App games since the oldest was 2. They're now 19 & 17. Older was in the student section for the CCU game & younger was sitting with us in 214. They have not missed many home games in their entire lives. We've been to many away games as well. What started as my own preference to watch good football at KBS has turned into a family event for us.Rowdypaco wrote:I took my 4 year old to his first game Saturday! BTW, the secret to the weather in Boone is being prepared. We bring a duffel bag full of extra shirts, blankets, pants, etc.

Re: My Son's first game.
AppAlum1 he'd watched many a game on the tv/computer with me already and was excited to see it in person. We were definitely prepared with extra clothes and jackets. I was lucky enough to spend 10 years in Boone and know all about the weather patterns, or lack thereof. Unfortunately, he may not make many more games as our family is pretty close to relocating overseas for an international teaching gig next year. I wanted to make sure he made it to a game before we left!

Re: My Son's first game.
That's awesome. I remember my sons' first game experiences in Boone also as good memories. Great picture too, but please buy that young man some 'Black' to wear to The Rock for his next game!
Give Em Hell!!

87, He has on all Black under the raincoat. A brand new #14 shirt over two other layers of black and gold. Once the rain stopped he showed it all off.
