Am I wrong to think that this helps us in getting Lutz?

Not necessarily - this is not an NCAA rule but is usually handled on a school by school basis - Some don't want distractions while still playing so the Head Coach or AD will ask that all info/statements be withheld

I saw him listed as a candidate there. I think it depends on how bad he wants to be a head coach. He is probably making as much as we could offer him as an associate at NCSU. I went to some games at UNCC during his days there and the students seemed to like him. We need a guy that can generate some student excitement around the program. I think he would be a good land for us but money may be an issue.
