If they pull this off it might just be an incredible place or a complete disaster with having students living at the facility, though I would assume those students would be the athletes, literally living on their field complex.

This is actually not a bad idea for GSU. They are basically proposing a new south campus facility and it is not that far from their main campus downtown. It is actually closer to main campus than the current dorms acquired from Olympics that are closer to Ga Tech campus. The downside is this south campus is not located in the best part of town.

Actually this plan would be good for GaSt and great for ATL. If developed as planned with mixed use, 2 stadiums, grocery, retail and living quarters it would help clean up a very depressing part of town. It worked out fairly well for Atlantic Station in a tough area so maybe it would here as well. GaSt would have a very spread out campus with the stadiums a long way from many of the dorms.
