Incredible finish, we needed that. Hell of a game by the Bulldogs, we are fortunate to be 5-2 right now. A lot of guts from our guys and theirs, game was a dog fight.

I'll be a ham sandwich. I scared my whole family with my yelps on the winning TD. I hope he really was in bounds. I ALMOST felt sorry for Samford.

Better than a pretty loss any day.

We went out of our minds on that one. Our crack video production crew didn't bother to replay what turned out to be the deciding play. Once again congrats, and with that I'm going to find a quiet place to drink and cry. :(

I still don't understand how our offense can move up and down the field so easily at times then look lost at others. Is it playcalling, youth, or poor decision making? Maybe a combo of all 3? The defense played really well all things considered. Good job Apps to not give up. Survive and move on.

On Price's TD, I'm not sure if he was in but I don't know how anyone can say he was out based on the video feed. Their radio crew needs to tone down the homerism and stop complaining about every other call. It will be interesting to see how Samford responds next week at UTC.

Imamoron was in attendance, so he'll probably reverse the call and give Samford the win as soon as our team bus pulls out of the parking lot.

Payback for stealing the SoCon championship in women's basketball.

That said, I do feel bad for Samford. They deserved to win that game in the 2nd half and were flat out robbed.

Part of it is the defensive formation they're playing. They were playing not to give up the big play for a touchdown and thus giving up the shorter under the middle plays. As far as the TD goes that is inexcusable for that defensive formation. Glad we pulled out the win but I would love to see the TD catch from a better angle again.

I do feel bad for the Samford players. They outplayed us.

Samford fans need to understand that SoCon officials are against all of us and there's no conspiracies. SoCon officials aren't smart enough to hold together a conspiracy.

Coach Moore told us all that Samford was a well coached team and they played hard for those that listened.

To those of you saying you feel bad....really?? Do you have actual video evidence that the catch was not a TD? Sheesh.

Anyway, who's to say we would not have scored a TD on the next play, or the one after that? Samford could have prevented a "bad call" by going for it on 4th and .5 earlier (do you really think we could stop them at that point). They could have prevented that call by not letting us move down the field with ease to begin with, or by intercepting that horrible pass by JJ.

It's not about whether or not we would have scored on that last play. The fact of the matter is Samford needed two yards to win that game and thankfully elected to let JJ and Co. choose their own destiny. We were outplayed and outcoached for 59 minutes and are extremely fortunate to escape with this victory. I do feel bad for Samford since their play did not deserve a loss on their SoCon record.

Maybe we do need the down-vote button back. ;)

Of course, that was much easier to post now, than during the game when I was not full of positive vibes after the 4th down throw not being complete.
This is my very generic signature added to each post.
