And for the record, I'm not questioning anyone's "toughness" in playing with a real injury. ALSO - in my experience some of the least reliable people to receive objective, level headed information from are parents. Most mean well but wear rose colored glasses. Like I mentioned earlier, there are reasons I believe Tacoi is more bark than bite and it's not from reading this board, twitter or AppStateSports.com.
But again, if he becomes a breakthrough receiver and scores TDs left and right this fall, I'll be happy to say I'm wrong.
ARJ-For the record I have no problem with opinions or discussion on a message board. In fact, as you stated, that is pretty much all that happens here. But I do have a problem when someone posts something as fact when it is an opinion. And an FYI for you, I never even saw your post so I was not speaking directly to you. I was agreeing with Speedking's post. I don't even know if it was you he was referring to since he didn't quote. I had to go back to even find your post to see what you had written so I could reply to your post above.
You stated "He's milked his injuries since he came to App State". Do you have proof of this or is it an opinion? I've spoken to members of the coaching staff and to members of the former S & C staff and none of them stated that to me. I also was told that his first surgery was not completely successful and that is why he continued to swell last year, first after practice then getting worse as camp went on. Your last line in the post above seem to indicate you have different information. I've said where mine came from. If I was told incorrectly there's not a lot I can do about it but until I hear differently then I have to go by what I was told.
Sorry you took offense at my comment but I have played hurt before and it was very difficult. Before I broke my leg I had hand (2 fingers), wrist (sprain), and arm (broken) injuries. Not something a LB needs since the main job is to hit someone. WR's, RB's, and DB's rely on their legs more than most and if someone has a knee that isn't 100% then they are not going to be able to contribute at a high level. I can only go with what I've been told and since it came from people who worked directly with him I took them at their word.
