Yes, I thought the band looked and sounded better than last year. Size wise, sound wise, it's all better.

The tune choice, while challenging musically, was not met with the best response. Good, polite clapping; OK, but not great. The Superman theme: OK; the Batman theme, I did not even recognize it (I did like the batman formation).

I think I much preferred the Led Zeppelin tunes of two years ago. Band purists might not have liked the electric guitars, but I did. And, based on the crowd response, THE CROWD LOVED IT.

Let's bring back Zepplin.

From 22 August press release on AppStateTV

http://www.appstatesports.com/ViewArtic ... SID=104441
Cut and paste from the above:

Saturday

• Live Halftime Broadcast of North Carolina’s Band of Distinction – we may not be able to stream game action but the BOD’s halftime show is fair game. Check for a live link around halftime and catch the Marching Mountaineers in action at each home game.
----
Did this happen? Looking forward on the Live Events in the media player I did not see link for BOD viewing during the halftime of home games.

And also cut-and pasted:

However, all is not lost in terms of football-related content. The Sun Belt does allow us to post an archival broadcast shortly after each game, which will allow fans to watch games on-demand as in years past.
---
I was able to watch the replay on ESPN3 a bit ago, but I don't see any links for the archive of the game on AppStateSports.com yet.

I did like the half-time show. It was well done and very entertaining. I wish my son had been with me to see the Batman logo. Kudos to the BOD!
Per the Gameday program, the BOD has 285 members...

I think YesAppCan, whom I was sitting beside, made a comment on here about maybe they lined up a bit differently on the track. I tried counting but with all the movement I could not keep up.

We had Makoto's for lunch and at the same table was a member of the band. I did not get a chance to talk with him much, but he seemed to enjoy the experience of being in the band.

Well ok then....I stand corrected. I mistakenly thought you were referring to my comment about it being "closer to 200". My bad.
