Re: Western at Furman
True, but it's also due to our fans constantly calling them out and they took the bait pretty much every time.

Re: Western at Furman
Excited for their fans that stuck by their teams for so many disappointing years. The next two three years are very important for them to stay ahead of the next crop of SoCon members. Plus it is always fun to see Furman sink further.
Re: Western at Furman
I'm happy for WCU as well, but I must admit I am much happier to see Furman lose. So, avert your eyes NewApp, and I'm sure that I speak for Appsolutely and his lovely daughter when I say, with all my enthusiasm, "Furman still sucks!"Saint3333 wrote:Excited for their fans that stuck by their teams for so many disappointing years. Furman will always suck. Always.

Mark is a very good recruiter at that level and a great motivator. He knows how to put kids in the right position and he recognizes talent. I always felt that he would do well at Western as long as they gave him time to get it right. Happy for him. Good guy that not deserves it but has earned it.

Just curious, how does he not deserve it or did I not interpret your post correctly?
Never mind, on edit, I think you meant "not only."

Re: Western at Furman
I think Western is going to have a pretty good season in a fairly weak SoCon. They played a solid game against USF and have played a schedule designed to produce early season wins, but I think they can hang with most SoCon teams. Chattanooga, Samford and Wofford are about the only ones I don't think they'll win, but you never know what can happen as they start believing.
Congrats to the Cats! Now that App has moved on, I will be pulling for Western in the SoCon race.

Once East Tennessee State joins the SoCon I'll be pulling for them. Meanwhile west carolina still sucks!Yosef84 wrote:I think Western is going to have a pretty good season in a fairly weak SoCon.
