I stayed in 201 until the clock ran out. Supporting this team through good and bad. I saw folks leaving in the FIRST quarter! WTF?! Just not show up if that's the case. Thought Kam looked good in the second half. I called 4-8 before the season, beating Campbell, Liberty, Ga State and Idaho. Still sticking with that. It's growing pains folks and you can bail out if you want but don't come back in 2017 when this team is dominating the Sun Belt. Go Apps!

Not trolling. I don't know where you get that crap. Just saying that if attendance doesn't warrant it, why talk about millions in expansion. Let's fill what we have before we talk about expansion. I'm not the only one who feels that way so get off your high horse.Appftw wrote:If im not mistaken, this is only the 3rd regular season game that hasnt been standing room only in the past 9 years. So you want to fire the coaching staff. Why don't you take the job as you think it is the coaches fault? Let's see what they have to work with shall we.AppState2014 wrote:Or just get a new coaching staff. If things keep up, this staff will be gone after the season. There is no improvement. Hopefully the committee is working fast so we can have an AD by the end of this month. Would feel better about our AD having to make a decision on the coaching staff having been here a month.
Campbell wins should not even count as a win for FBS teams in my book and that's the one team we beat. They aren't full scholarship FCS even. At least a win over Liberty would give us one over a good FCS team. So far to me we haven't really won a game that should count.
Liberty is tied with Richmond as I type this. They won't be easy.
1. We have an offensive line littered with guys recruited by the previous regime. Our best lineman once quit the team because the coach was horrible. They also have not received the proper S&C for the past two years.
2. We have a gnats for wide receivers, the best of whom is a former walk on.
3. We have a freshmen quarterback that can only be a productive passer against zone coverage and misses wide open receivers on the "deep passes".
4. Our RB's are good but if your offensive line can't block then what's the point.
5. Our defensive front is woefully thin and we are still getting guys in here to fit the 3-4. And don't forget about the S&C thing.
6. Our secondary is young.
7. Our offense can't stay on the field long enough to give our defense a break.
8. Our Punter is a shell of what he was last year.
9. Our PK has a mental block on field goals.
Now if we played some of these FBS recruits now versus allowing them a year to grow then we might look better and win a few games that we wouldn't this year but that reward is not worth it in the long term. I don't know where you fit in on the Coach Moore thing or the FBS/FCS and I really don't care but SS and his staff inherited a mess. They have a plan and some times things get worse before they get better. But hey, you have all the answers so why don't you coach them so we can all get on the message board and talk about what kind of job your doing.

I believe you are correct. But he managed to piss off his lineman with his "coaching" so I wonder how much they listened to him. Either way it was a lost year for development.luvyosef wrote:IIRC, that poor OL coach came over from Tulsa and then bailed out after 1 season.

Only, I would add that our secondary is weak. Yes, some are young. But overall, regardless of age, they aren't good.

53 of the last 54 regular season games have been over our seating capacity. There is clearly NO demand for more seats at Kidd Brewer.NewApp wrote:Not trolling. I don't know where you get that crap. Granted, this was the worst atmosphere ive ever seen at an App game. The student section barely even made noise on third downs. It felt like a high school football game.
That being said, im confident that we'll be back. Eventually.

Anyone who has attended a game at KBS in the last 3-4 years can tell you the amazing amount of aluminum seating in plain sight. Let's use ALL the aluminum we have before we buy any more.
That is where demand is less than supply.

Re: Empty
Maybe you and I were in different stadiums last night, but much of the east side was empty the entire game. Also, let's not forget how empty the hill has been for years now.Appftw wrote:53 of the last 54 regular season games have been over our seating capacity. There is not a a demand for a larger stadium right now. If you think that building a larger stadium will make us more attractive or make the team better, it won't. A full smaller stadium is better than a half empty big stadium... ask Georgia State.

There were thousands on the hill for Campbell. I think curbing our plans for the future because of two bad seasons is a mistake. No realistic App fan expected expansion before 2018.
