Taylor Lamb's deep ball

Unread post by diehardapp18 » Sun Oct 05, 2014 2:26 am

This dude just started his third career college game, I'm so hyped about his future. But could his Achilles heel be the deep ball? Or will those misses today just be an outlier? I remember he completed a pretty deep ball at GaSo that got called back. This will just be something interesting to keep an eye on. He missed multiple open guys deep today, just overthrows.

Overall I'm pumped about this kid. He battles. Ain't afraid to get hit and if there's one player on this team who's still giving his ALL for App State every week it's him. He's still one of the very few bright spots right now imo

You can see some players are working hard and are competing, others ???
I question the overall team chemistry?
Chemistry will make or break us.

Players will begin loosing faith in coaches pretty soon.

Regarding lamb, I think it was just because it was his 3rd career start. We saw him throw some picks in previous game and I believe that is why we saw the over throws. He was trying to place it out of reach of the defender. The separation was good from the receivers, just a tab over thrown.

Really you think there are some not playing hard? Not asking for names but what makes you think that?
Not being argumentative just curious.

Let's just say some look flat and most are playing hard.
It's very strange watching this team play.
The consistency of the past is gone.
I am just looking for some growth.
If you or anyone else is seeing growth please tell me.
I am praying the coaches do what they did last year and get this team to play better the last 4 games and show us some HOPE I can't see now.

Well if your seeing it then the coaches are seeing it as well. My only assumption at this point is that there is either no one else viable to plug in or the guy they want out there is freshman that they are holding back. I agree it is very strange to watch this team but I think that this is just a powder keg that had just exploded in our face. We were on a steady decline for the past years but it was masked well by a winning record.

I would be willing to mask something this year to have a winning record.

I would be willing to trade a losing season this year and a losing season, with improvement next year in exchange for three Sun Belt tiles and a possible Orange Bowl berth in the next three.

I think we will be improved next year, but may only win 5-6 games. It's going to take more than 2 years to get this team FBS prepared. Dbs are small and not as fast as FBS Wrs; OL & DL have to be upgraded...must win in the trenches to be truly competitive "week in and week out".

I am here for the long-haul! GO APPS!!!

Yeah I figured that statement would garner a reaction from you and I figured that you would say exactly what you said. It is my understanding that the highest ranked G5 team gets a bid to the Orange Bowl. I could be wrong but if we are winning then we could be ranked high enough to get into a high profile bowl game.
