Oh. It's just simmering right now. Wait until Monday to see the REAL melt down.

I'm not going anywhere. Rough stretches happen, although I never dreamed we'd fall this far so quickly

And that hurt will roll over to everything else in the area too, including a drop student application. Winning made everything increase and losing will have an effect too. I'm not sure that was well understood by those in charge over the last 5 years that put us in this deep slide. With the success the program enjoyed once, there is no valid excuse for how far we have dropped. None.

We will be there. We have been for years. Some of them have been great years, but not recently. This is our school, so this is our team. I don't understand quitting on your team. This season sucks, the games have been disappointing, and we are at very low point, it may get worse too...so fans and supporters are quitting. That is a loser's way out in my opinion. We will be there.

We'll be there too. Not giving up, just building up a lot of character right now!

Winning is infectious and losing is contagious.
Casual fans will quit coming without a winning product. They will stop buying t shirts and hats too.

Short term I am more worried about money than anything. We are in an uphill battle already and big drops in attendance means big drops in money, donations, sponsorships. Business revenue around town suffers and the relationship there suffers too.

We have never been able to pay our coaches enough to attract established previously successful coaches at or above our current level. We have to get them on the way up and hope they like Boone enough to stay and be happy with lower pay. Think Brakefield and Moore versus Woods and Brown.

Assistants will also take less to learn more and study under someone with experience and a winning tradition.

Scott is family I think he would stay here the rest of his career but he doesn't have the experience, track record or network to attract assistants for the mentoring so we're back to the money again.

If you compare the short time Woods and Brown were here, I'm not sure Woods and Brown fared much better in retention.

Yep,,,thinking the same....let's see how many empty spots will be up in the stadium.... I had fun there and the people around us would come over to dance and have fun, then my $1,500 wasn't good enough because we started winning NCs. I've said for years CC and RB need to thank the non $2,500+ too....Meaning just because you can fork out $2,500+ and want to come because we are winning, when we AREN'T winning, HAVE YOUR BUTTS AT THE GAME...I'LL BE THERE :!: :!: :!:

This "game" last night wasn't the straw the broke my back, it was a bale of hay. App has my money as they have for the last 20 years, but no longer my time this season. Three home games seeing this is enough for me... we are not even good by FCS standards. I'll catch the game at home while painting the bathroom, or playing a game with my kids... anything. 6 hours round trip to watch this is not a good use of my precious weekend time.

Really thinking about sending my tix to Satt or Beasley with a letter stating why. Make no mistake, I can handle losing. Its not that, it is the clueless staff and planning that they do. It's the lack of adjustments and putting the kids in positions where they cannot be successfull. I do have to say that it is a lack of effort by the kids as well.

But right now, this is not entertaining. The Rock has lost its luster, not a tough place to play anymore. No electricity in the stadium. Major problem is the ramifications this will have throughout the entire Ath. dept. Prepare for big budget cuts in non-revenue sports.

Wound meet salt:
From the W-S Journal:

And the victory for the Flames, who have endured frustrating losses, took on an extra twist. The program wants to move from the FCS to the FBS like Appalachian State has, and having been passed over by the Sun Belt Conference, registered a sweet victory in its first game against a Sun Belt team.

"It's great for Liberty as a whole, playing a Sun Belt team and beating them, and showing that we can play with this conference,” quarterback Josh Woodrum of the Flames said. “We can be in this conference."

We will be at the remaining 4 home games rain or shine. I don't care how bad we are I'm never missing a home game barring an unforeseen conflict.

I'll make 2 of the remaining home games as well as the Troy game this weekend. Still my favorite way to spend a Saturday afternoon and I have plenty of things I could do here in the ATL.
