What They are saying...

Unread post by MAD Doctor » Mon Oct 13, 2014 11:11 am

A sign of the times. FCS Liberty beats us at home and their fans, though pleased with a win, don't feel they did anything noteworthy. It was as if they'd beaten Gardner Webb.

"I know they suck, but I am really happy about this."
"Coastal is going to eat us alive - they are leaps and bounds better than App."
"Kind of hard to call this a "epic" win yet with Appy being 1-5."
"Nothing to beat our chests about, but still a win."

I can seriously see Liberty losing more games after this. They, like Michigan, got up to play us because it was the game that was circled on their schedule. Their defense was just as bad as ours and if not for one missed ST play, we win

I have seen Coastal. They are not leaps and bounds better than us or Liberty. This does not mean that I think we would beat them however. As WataugaMan says, "it is what it is" and right now I wouldn't predict a win over too many teams.

And we can't do anything about it, nor should we worry about it.

I wonder if we have any games circled on our schedule that the team will get really fired up for and the coaches will bring the percect scheme to field to exploit the opponent's weaknesses.

they are playing it down because they believe they should be the SBC, and that beating us, 1.justifies they are ready for the SBC 2. they are down playing it because they believe they are already a FBS school forced to play in the FCS. Whats embarrassing about this is the Liberty officials will use it as tool when they again approach the SBC for membership.

Exactly...
They're also saying that the world was created last week, so we need to take their observations with at least a particle of salt.
