App State on Social Media
Throughout this season I've seen comments implying our players have "given up" in certain games or haven't put forth adequate effort.
Obviously this doesn't to apply to EVERY player, but as a whole I've been extremely impressed with their effort. In fact, I think it's just about the only consistent positive during this rough first half of the season. No way to prove it but it's just what I've seen.
Anyway, if you're not convinced, take a look as some of the players' social media accounts (Twitter/Instagram) after today's game. These kids are head over heels elated about winning today. It's really inspiring and makes me happy to sit in the stands at KBS and support the team during this current "rough" patch.

Re: App State on Social Media
This is the one positive that I saw all year...we didn't appear to ever give up, and I never got the feeling that Satt had lost the team. Even after the first drive yesterday, they could have gotten down and said "here we go again", but they got up and played pretty lights out afterwards. It's to early to make any judgment about the next 2 seasons, but I'm cautiously optimistic.
Give 'em hell!

The youngest was in the locker room after the game (has been there pretty much last 3 years)....said it was the best locker room celebration he had seen. Instagram pics verify the fun! Quote from Instagram: "How good it feels. By far the best locker room celebration I've shot. Left with the camera and myself doused in Gatorade! #1Team1Heart1Beat"BeauFoster wrote:This is the one positive that I saw all year...we didn't appear to ever give up, and I never got the feeling that Satt had lost the team. One of my favorite elements of this video is seeing JP Caruso hopping and spinning around in rhythm with the chant. Seems like a really positive kid.

Is it just me (may be the angle of the video), but does that look like the visitors locker room at a local high school? Of course, when you have to pay for a 30,000 seat stadium with about 7500 butts in the seats, you gotta cut somewhere.
(I know the "attendance" was reported at 15,000 yesterday, but unless everyone was sitting out of the TV view, ghosts filled half those seats.)

Played the video several times and I swear it sounds like they are saying "Charleston", am I missing something or is this video from last year?? If it is current, it is exciting to see that kind of excitement coming from our team.

I hear them saying "Trojans" it sounds like to me. I remember that dang Charleston Southern game last year and we were definitely NOT celebrating that day. Good win yesterday!appgrad81 wrote:Played the video several times and I swear it sounds like they are saying "Charleston", am I missing something or is this video from last year?? They're saying "N O T H I N G, that's what Trojans mean to me, nothing, absolutely nothing! Wooo wooo wooo!" They've done that cheer after wins for years. They did it after Michigan. Just sub the mascot we beat for Trojans.

I like the chant. For that reason alone I hope that we never play UC Santa Cruz. I can't imagine Banana Slugs rolls off the tongue quite as easy.

Re: App State on Social Media
It actually goes back quite a ways. Coach Elliot used to lead it and from what he told me they even did it all the way back to his days playing in the 90s.
