Re: Article on UL-M defense
the more I learn about these guys, the less I believe its about great talent, and more about this unique defense scheme. Kinda reminds me of GS offense, not great talent, but because no one really has the time to properly prepare for it, they end up running all over people. But, having said this, it can be beat, Troy ran for over 250 yds, and Ark St ran for over 200 yds, in fact, it looks like Troy, of all teams seem to have the most success against them, hope the coaching staff really studied that game film.

I think a gritty close win would do more for our team's confidence than the last two weeks blowouts. We need to learn to fight a little bit more than the opposition to get a win. I hope we continue to play as hard as we seem to have been recently.

I agree. We need a 60 minute game to test the mettle of our young guys. The Rock wrote:I think a gritty close win would do more for our team's confidence than the last two weeks blowouts. Another thumping would make a strong statement that App is back to rest of Sun Belt mates.

I'll be quite content with another blowout.

In four SBC games they are averaging 23 points a game while giving up 25 points a game. From a statistical standpoint, it looks to be a close game tomorrow. They have lost their last two games by a total of 9 points. I don't foresee a blow out.

Re: Article on UL-M defense
I think if APP uses the TE more, forcing the alignment of the Hawk (SS), we will be more successful. Hitting the long pass could be a problem with ULM in a cover 2, but the short passes should be open. If APP executes we should add to the winning streak.moehler wrote:the more I learn about these guys, the less I believe its about great talent, and more about this unique defense scheme. I look for the Defense to have a big day, ULM has given up lots of TFL and sacks.
