No, we understand the season isn't over yet, but you have to admit that the future looks a lot brighter tonight than when you were in your "accepting letters of resignation" mode.
OK, so step on up. And I'm only half kidding.

I agree 100% those of us who have been here and celebrated good times and weathered bad times have every right to vent and call for the coaches head if the shoe fits. To be honest the shoe did fit for a while this year. The players were half ass playing and the coaching sucked. Frankly we do not look like the same team that lost to Liberty. I really can't believe how far we have come. Amazing what a little confidence will do for a team. I am a proud mountaineer but then again I was a proud mountaineer after the Liberty loss too ( just not real happy).PBR1893-BEER-HAT-GUY wrote:It was me and I also admitted fault the next day or so. I was pissed after the liberty game. However, I will never bite my tongue for fear of i told you so critics. I have the right to express my opinion right or wrong. Anyone who thinks I do so flippantly don't have a clue how hard it is for me to be so harsh.
A) You play your schedule, so i don't give a damn WHO we beatTRMojowammy wrote:I still fall somewhere in the middle. I am as happy as anyone that we have won 3 in a row (2 at home), but look at WHO we beat. Even the ULM game, which was an exciting win was against a team that is now 3-6. We will know a lot more about this team after the next 2 weeks.
GO APPS!
Are you Sh!!!ting me? I was/am one of those ones! Lets look at this. Yes we have played a lot better in the the last 3. O looks good. D could not get a stop when it mattered tonite. 2ndary is horrific. Did we win, yes. probably the worst 3 teams in the conf. yes. I do think things are looking up. I do think some players are/have been weeded out. Young guys are playing, gettin reps. getting better. Coaches have to get better as well. At the half very poor clock mgmt. 1 handed sportscenter catch bailed them out. 80% run on first down, anybody guess what the play is. We have a looooooonng way to go to become what we were. am i happy tonite, yes. am i convinced this is the staff that can get it done, the jury is OUT!asu66 wrote:Whoever started and participated in all those "Fire Satterfield" threads from weeks gone by should voluntarily step up now with their plates of crow and submit their sincere and humble apologies. Don't make us do a power search to "unmask" you. Just file up behind the reply button and admit that you were jumping the gun just a little with your predictions of almighty gloom and doom.

Amen! I hate the pundits to claim "strength of schedule". One team cannot help it if their opponents suck. That's not the case here, just speaking in general. "SOS" is factored to only help/hurt the P5 teams i.e. bling, bling. $$$mtnjax wrote:A) You play your schedule, so i don't give a damn WHO we beatTRMojowammy wrote:I still fall somewhere in the middle. B) ULM has played 3 SEC teams this year and they held TAMU to 21 points last week. TAMU dropped 41 on Auburn tonight
wins are wins. stop trying to find negatives
