Just so none of us forget, I have listed below points from 5 of MANONABUFFALO's very first posts - Pretty hard to claim innocence when the facts are exposed

1. -If we lose the what has been coined the Fighting Falwells, I don't know if we can recover perception and season wise. Sep 27

2. -I fully believe Scott just doesn't have the ability to motivate the players. Even during the soon to be very distant "glory years" the assistants weren't all that strong, but Coach Moore had the ability to harness emotion and strength. Satterfield comes off as a whiner, Oct 11

3. - The WR situation is something new to us. For the first time is a long time we have a weakness at WR. The Bobo and Simms Fresh crew will never get it done, even if Peyton Manning was back there throwing balls. Those two would likely be a FCS team's #2 or #3 WRs. They have zero explosion once they catch the ball, are always tackled by the first guy, and will never out physical a FBS DB for a ball. Oct 11

4. - FIRE HIM....I don't even want to talk about it. Oct 11

5. -Pack up his office, put a FOR SALE in his yard.
GEt rid of all of them, tell them to take the grad assistants too.....

#3 is the only one that should not have been posted in an open forum. Good discussion point around a tailgate but I don't think we should degrade our players. Have I done it, probably at some point. The rest about Scott is frustrated fan talk. Scott make a quarter mil ++ to produce excellence at the point when those were posted we had not seen much of. We can talk till we are blue in the face about "give a mountaineer a chance" but you have to admit things looked pretty grim after the Liberty game.

No one has debated that the Liberty debacle was bad. Most of us just found the "fire Satt" posts after just 16 games to be unreasonable--fellow Mountaineer or not.

APPJ I concur with the line recruiting being down. Although some of that is attributable to the S&C program (cross fit linemen?) From what I have heard from other programs, we got a steal in the new guy.

With other positions I think we only dropped a little, remember what it would be like at WR if what's his name could have stayed out of trouble.

This bothers me, our upperclassmen "are not FBS material". For years we have been touting the belief that our success is because we were able to recruit players that 'fell thru the cracks from FBS'. If they were FBS caliber then, WHY ARE THEY NOT NOW?

Our recruiting from 09 - 12 has been discussed extensively on MMB. It's obvious today with how many freshmen and soph. are starting that those years were underwhelming and not very fruitful compared to years past.

"discussed" doesn't make it all necessarily true.

Right. Jrs and Srs getting benched for Freshman and Sophomores make it true. Thanks for the thoughtful input.

I wouldn't agree with the Jr/Sr getting "benched" - what has happened is some got beaten out but all are contributing - the rotation with our depth has been the biggest difference I have seen this season ---
