$5,000! Is that all? The Pop Warner teams in South Florida get that much.asutrnr81 wrote:Steve, I could not pick up the ASU feed at the stadium after the game, so I listened to the WCU feed. After the Game Speir said a guy came in the locker room room and gave them $5000 for their effort and for me standing up for our team....Speir got rewarded for showing his backside. (I know and like Mark, great guy, great family, all that)....but the lenses skew the view!YesAppCan wrote:I think what is happening is that ASU has gotten a reputation for doing that stuff and the officials are most eager to throw the flags on us. I watched the video feed yesterday and I have seen much worse and questioned all day the antics of Speir on the field ( I think it was a bit WWF wrestling kind of move to put on a show for the home crowd--- but it'll sell tickets for them) as well as the tackling after the whistle. Saw BOTH teams jawing quite a bit.
Here is the bottom line though: We HAVE to be disciplined enough and not do things that will HURT OUR TEAM. We continue to do this stuff IMO.
Go APPS!
Yep, if you want to be a cheerleader, then join the cheerleading squad. I can't stand coaches who act like that.bcoach wrote:I for one am very glad that JM conducts himself the way he does on the field. I think that is the way a head coach should be. What I want to see is an assistant more like Shawn. As far as what goes on on the other side of the field I could care less.
I agree, but there is a middle ground between acting like Bobby Lamb and being comatose.ASU-FTW wrote:Yep, if you want to be a cheerleader, then join the cheerleading squad.
