Re: APP STATE PROUD!
Very happy for both the players and coaching staff. One heck of a finish to the season. Thanks to the seniors for the effort with no FCS playoffs or bowls (probably) on he line to play for. Just a great year!!
Re: APP STATE PROUD!
great season, no App fan can complain about our first season, what really surprised me is I thought every team in the SBC, except Georgia Southern, would be bigger, stronger, faster, and would just wear us down, but that didn't happen, we are one of the top teams in the conference in terms of talent and coaching. Whats really great about today is the announcers said we had 50 recruits at the game, they had to be impressed, could not have ended better for us. ITS GREAT TO BE A MOUNTAINEER!!!!!

I hope App and GaSo.. keep kicking some Sun Belt butt... new kids on the block breathing some life into what was a tired conference. Couple of former FCS teams pushing the conference to get better! Batman wasn't Batman without his Joker... #justsaying

Thanks coaches and especially these seniors. Those guys could have given up 3/27/13, but they did the winter workouts at 5AM, two a days in the heat, left during all the changes. You laid a foundation for success in the coming years.
Thanks for a great season that exceeded all my expectations!

Re: APP STATE PROUD!
Last Feb. after our recruits were in the fold, I thought we could win six in a big s-t-r-e-t-c-h of my imagination. Seven in Sun Belt year one--no way. Happy to have been wrong and proud to be a Mountaineer. Extremely proud of our team! Great leadership from our seniors who, at the fork in the road, took the right direction.Saint3333 wrote:Thanks coaches and especially these seniors. Re: APP STATE PROUD!
Damn fine job closing out the season! So my Appalachian Proud Challenge to all of our distinguished posters on the MMB is to put our money where our pride is. Let's all chip in and help Coach Iron Mike purchase a tendo unit to help this team and all Mountaineer athletes reach their peak. I mentioned this to Moose to possibly spearhead since he's a poster I believe everyone trusts, however he has enough on his plate with all the recruiting news about to flood in.
If anyone can reach out to Iron Mike and get a price tag on one so we have a goal to hit before Christmas and Coach can have it ordered and installed prior to winter workouts, we can show these guys just how much we are behind them. There were over 425 views to this thread at the time of this post. We just need all these viewers to pitch in $5-$10 and that should cover the cost assuming my info of $2,500-$3,000 per unit is correct.
I'm game...are you?

Congratulations to all. I noticed something in our team yesterday I hadn't seen in a very long time- confidence, dare I say- swagger.
The future looks bright.

I still hate yall but damn fine job by your boys and coaches this year! See you at the Rock next year. Looks like that game will help determine the Sun Belt champ so work hard in the offseason, I know we've got some work to do. Merry Christmas you hillbillies!

Merry Christmas to you all too, Rednecks! Congrats GSU. Hell of a season. I watched NCSU & GT games & you all could easily be 11-1 IMO. See all you inbred trailer trash idiots in Boone next year.oldfart wrote:I still hate yall but damn fine job by your boys and coaches this year! See you at the Rock next year. Re: APP STATE PROUD!
This option crossed my mind but personally I'd like to see every dime go towards helping the S&C program. There has to be a way to earmark the donations for this particular cause without sacrificing the 5% charge incurred via those websites. Someone with connections in the AD office needs to pass the word along that we want to pitch in, even if it's small in scale. I think it would gain more traction and have a better chance of success if it came from the department or S&C program as opposed to a random message board poster. Even if the idea comes from a mason jar!

Sorry for nominating you Moose as I'm sure you have enough on your plate. I just know most posters trust you and your contacts to make something like this happen.
I'd propose any additional funds raised over the cost of a unit(s),should go towards the nutrition program.
Thanks again Moose
