Did anyone else notice during the Idaho game that he tried to make the same catch in the end zone with 2 defenders on him?

I'm not as concerned onwhether we get a 6'5" receiver in this recruiting class now. Just think we have 3 more years (or maybe just 2 
) where we get to see this stuff. Ridiculous!

Our young receiver certainly has a lot of potential but I'm not a fan of the one-handed catch. I remember people said the same thing about Willie Mays' one-handed basket catches, but it seems to me in some cases we're just unnessarily increasing the level of difficulty.

Are you kidding me? In the ULM game that was a thing of beauty. While in a fully extended horizontal dive, he used one hand to hold off the defender while with the other hand grabbing the ball with his arm extended then pulling the ball back towards his body completely in control of the ball when landing hard on the turf. Are you kidding me? Unnecessarily increasing the level of difficulty? How many receivers in any level of football could have made that catch? That catch was a thing of beauty, no doubt. The one-handed catch for a touchdown the following game at the close of the first half was perhaps the single most important play of the half. But the drop on a one-handed attempt earlier in that game when both hands were free, I'm not too crazy about. The circus catch during practice was only spectacular because he did it with one hand. Both hands were free. Personally, I'd like to see our receivers make it less difficult on themselves, not more.

The kid is young and can obviously make the difficult catches. I am sure as he gains some maturity he will be more judicious in his use of one or both hands appropriately. He is probably just trying to make some big plays now to get attention. Once he understands he doesn't have to do that on every play and that he will get more than his chance to make make the weekly SportsCenter highlight reel, he will probably settle down to just make the play as easily as required.
No different that the basketball players who like the big dunk when a less spectacular play gets the job done.
On the other hand, maybe his acrobatic catches may help draw some attendance from Walmart fans wanting to see some great plays in person. That is not all that bad either.
