[quote="JTApps1"]I would be ok with the dorms as long as they don't tower over the stadium like we see in the one concept show at KBS. There have been plenty of stadiums with dorms built around the outside (LSU and UT come to mind) so this isn't some new idea. As long as we only have seats/suites visible from inside the stadium then I'm all for it. The outside of the building would probably look more attractive if done this way. Florida State has class rooms built around their stadium and it looks very nice...

FSU's stadium houses their School of Hospitality, Film School, Human Resources, Fiscal Operations as well as Athletics. It's a huge facility but one that sees use everyday.

I think that is a good use of the space.

That is a beautiful stadium. I wish we had something similar to it. We just need something that will go with what we already have, not something that looks like an afterthought.

There has been snow a couple of times all the way down to the Gulf Coast in the past couple of winters. Have pics from friends in the FL Panhandle and also in LA that were sent to me when it happened. We were just VERY cold but the storms were moving along the Gulf. Remember the nightmare in Atlanta? There was more snow even further south during that storm. Guessing they took the pic in one of those since it's so rare.

I think I remember a couple of years ago that snow covered all 50 states (rather, there was snow on the ground in all 50 states). Never been there, but I guess there is snow on the top of a mountain or two in Hawaii. Maybe it was the lower 48.

It definitely snows in Hawaii. I've been to the Observatory at the summit of Mauna Kea (13,796 ft above sea level) on the Island of Hawaii and it was snowing at the time that I was there...a rare place to say the least. Worth the visit...

Was about to say - Jacksonville, AL is about on the same parallel with Atlanta, maybe even a little farther North...so not too surprising. Rare and sporadic though.
