True. Our flag was up there alongside some mighty fine universities.
And one that CHeats, as well.

HappApp... Nice pick up great picture. I thought our flag looked great up there. I watched the event or most of it on the espn3... Very nice night for App State. An outstanding career for Jerry and the honor is well deserved!!!

Great honor for Coach Moore and App State. Well deserved and glad to see that Coach Satterfield was there with him. I hope this is a sign that the great divide is being bridged.

All the signs show that it is. More former players coming back, Jerry embracing Scott as the coach. It really is great to see it happen.BeauFoster wrote: I hope this is a sign that the great divide is being bridged.

Beasley and Dr Everts among others deserve credit for mending those fences

I really don't know how Jerry and Satt's relationship has been in the two years since the coaching change. The only thing I can attest to is that two years ago at the football banquet Coach Moore was the first one off his feet to applaud when Coach Satt was introduced as the new coach.

Re: Jerry in NY
Regardless of the path and events that occurred during the transition, Jerry should be proud and feel some level of ownership/responsibility for Scott's success, after all, Scott is Jerry's protege. Hopefully we experience more good days in the future with Scott at helm and Jerry will start to be reinvigorated that this is another success story that he can feel good about and it will continue to mend the relationship between Jerry and Scott and Jerry and the University. That will be better for all parties involved.

I have not and would not ever ask coach about his feeling toward Scott at any given time. Just in seeing how Coach has touched my family over the years I would highly doubt there was ever any ill will from either to the other. I think you would have to be a player or a parent to really understand the relationship between Coach and his players, assistants, and trainers over the years. I am just so happy to see the man who really got the program to where it is today back to where he is today.eggers76 wrote:I really don't know how Jerry and Satt's relationship has been in the two years since the coaching change. Re: Jerry in NY
Does anyone know if the relationship was ever strained between the two? Satt was a walk on that earned the starting nod at QB. That kind of player makes every coach proud and I am sure that SS is grateful for the opportunities bestowed on him by Coach Moore. I know the situation was tense but I don't think there was any personal animosity. I could be wrong.bcoach wrote:I have not and would not ever ask coach about his feeling toward Scott at any given time. Re: Jerry in NY
Not having time to sit and watch the replay on ESPN 3 can anyone send out some times to skip around to in order to watch the parts relating to Jerry and App State?

Thanks that will narrow it down. I joined it just as it was ending but had not been put up on reply at the time which I assume will be around for a bit.hapapp wrote:It comes in the last 1/2 hour or so as I recall.McLeansvilleAppFan wrote:Not having time to sit and watch the replay on ESPN 3 can anyone send out some times to skip around to in order to watch the parts relating to Jerry and App State?
