R.I.P. Stuart Scott
Another person taken far too early by the dreaded disease that is cancer. SportsCenter evolved with him. May Heaven be "as cool as the other side of the pillow".

Like many other sports fans I'd be willing to bet if I could count up the minutes of watch time for every show I've ever watched sportscenter would probably be in the top 5 if not number 1. Scott, Olbermann, Patrick, and Eisen I dare say influenced me growing up to becoming a sports nut.

I agree. Nothing was better than the Sunday night Big Show with Olberman and Patrick.appdaze wrote:

Stuart graduated from Reynolds High in Winston the year after me ('83). He had a great personality that carried through for his entire life. God speed.

We would watch it, and then watch it again to catch references we missed.AppSt94 wrote:I agree. Nothing was better than the Sunday night Big Show with Olberman and Patrick.appdaze wrote:

Patrick was interviewed on Fehrity on the golf channel a few weeks ago. It's well worth the hour.

Feherty is great. He can make watching pain't dry entertaining.

I had a chance to meet Stuart on a couple of occasions, usually at charity golf events, and we talked about App one time. He had nothing but great things to say about App and Boone. Just a class guy.

Scott always came across as genuine, which he was- such a rarity these days. He will be missed. Prayers for his family.
