Georgia Southern's kicker

Georgia Southern's kicker is Alex Hanks. Do you think his middle initial is an "S"?

Funny! We ought to give him some kind of honor. I'll bet the staff had to put him into hiding after that performance and what it cost the Gnat Swarm.

Same thing Brownie said on the radio broadcast...

We don't need to be casting stones on anyone else's kickers we've struggled too.

Which reminds me, heard coach Moore say on one of the Mountaineer talk shows recently (a couple back) that we had a bunch of great kickers and were very fortunate. If there's someone behind Stewart we haven't seen, I'd like to see him.

I missed the game and didn't hear it on the radio where I was. What did the kicker do?

Go into the stadium early and watch #86 (Mark Powell) kick. He can also punt but doesn't need to with Sam's skills. I know that several practices ago, both Sam and Mark were 7 for 7 in the end-of-game drills they do. Maybe Mark will get a shot one day.

Their kicker missed all 3 FGs (one blocked) all short kicks, Martin went 1-2, missing an easy one as well.

I felt sorry for that kid. Tough day for him. Wouldn't be surprised if he gets death threats from some south Georgia yahoos.

I'm sure that kid is getting enough grief from the GaSo faithful. Just hope one of our kickers figures out the accuracy issues. Come playoff time we can expect some very close games and it would be nice to be confident in being able to make a 30 yard kick.
