If this is a suicide as it appears to be, it's the fourth one this academic year.At approximately 5:45pm on January 19, 2015, University Police conducted a welfare check on a student residing in Appalachian PanHellenic Hall (APH). After knocking on the student's door and getting no response, police used a key to enter the room and discovered the deceased body of the student. No foul play is suspected and the situation presents no threat to the university community. University Police continue to investigate the incident.

Re: APH Death
I was just about to post about this.
The twitter feed from The Appalachian suggest no foul play, which would suggest suicide. The ASU PD was doing a welfare check, which suggest someone thought to ask them to check in thinking that might be needed.
Sad, sad news.

Re: APH Death
I have heard nothing more about this. I don't want to dwell on this, but I was expecting a bit more somewhere. Though if the family has asked for not much to be said then I can respect that.

Re: APH Death
They just released the name today. Normally there won't be a whole lot more said until the ME's report is issued since it's still an ongoing investigation. I will say that your last sentence has some merit also.McLeansvilleAppFan wrote:I have heard nothing more about this. I don't want to dwell on this, but I was expecting a bit more somewhere.
