Re: Recruiting, 2015
I have SLOWLY been making updates to the Main Page. I was able to update the player pages for new commits ATH Josh Thomas and CB Tae Hayes, link the player page for this weekends visitor LB Edward Davis, and add pages for two reported PWO's in OL/DL Calab Koontz (6′ 5″ 310) of West Davidson High School in Lexington, NC and OL/DL Aidan Nesvisky (6′ 4″ 260) of Ravenscroft High School in Raleigh, NC. Both are listed in the Other Newcomers section on the Main Page along with LS Caleb Hendrix, DL Morgan Wilson, and LS Elias McMurry. McMurry has already been added to the roster as he's a mid-year enrollee. The others are all showing #App19 or some variation of the class of 2019 in their twitter bio's.

Re: Recruiting, 2015
Well dang. Oh well, hope he has a good career. I personally think NC is prettier than CO but that is just me. I guess besides the 2 uncommitted guys on campus this weekend, we won't really have any signing day surprise commits.ASUGoose wrote:Looks like D. Thompson just committed to Colorado state.

Re: Recruiting, 2015
I'm really surprised by this. CSU had a good year last year but the coach took off, and there is now Bobo who hasn't proven anything as an HC. They are traditionally a mid-pack MWC team at best. Maybe he just wasn't sold on us?
I have to think Davis will leave Boone with an offer with Thompson offer the board and Wright up in the air.

Re: Recruiting, 2015
I believe so. I'm working on it. Coach Brown said we picked up another piece on the D. I'll have something soon.mtnjax wrote:Did we just get someone?

That hashtag is usually Sloan's way of signaling a commit

Re: Recruiting, 2015
From internet reports WR/DB Kielan Whitner (6′ 1″ 185) of Mountain View High School in Lawrenceville, GA has decommitted from App and committed to Syracuse. Nothing has been officially announced but he has removed "App State Commit" from his twitter so I'm going to remove him from the Commits list. I believe this has to do with the post yesterday from Coach Brown and why we heard nothing after it. More to follow.

Re: Recruiting, 2015
Honestly, kind of wish he wouldn't have done that. I certainly get why he's frustrated and I'm sure we all are disappointed, but venting it on Twitter serves no purpose and looks a little petty IMO. Last-minute flips are just a reality in recruiting, frustrating as they may be.ASUGoose wrote:Looks like coach Sloan was none to happy:

Yeah I saw O. Fortune tweet that he feels bad for D. David right now. Not ideal.mountaineerman wrote:I may be wrong but I think they were going to be roomates.I really thought he was sure thing.ASUGoose wrote:It's hard to read between lines tweets but looks like D. Re: Recruiting, 2015
I have to agree that posting to social media in frustration is always ill advised. Kind of surprised that he flipped to a school with four DBs in the recruiting class and he being the lowest rated. ( not that I am a big believer in ratings). Best of luck to him.
