Apps vs. Canisius in South Carolina
Soon to be on my way to Ball Park Rd. in Lexington SC to see the Diamond Apps play!!!! This is a very rare opportunity to see our guys/gals in ANY sport, in our backyard. So if you are in the South Carolina Midlands and have a free afternoon come and see the baseball team in a DH against an A-10 team. We also play a single game tomorrow at Noon, same place.

Re: Apps vs. Canisius in South Carolina
Should be very competitive. They are a good cold weather team. We must pitch to win.

App are up 4-3 in the sixth after Dobson hits a two run homer.

Not complaining, a win is a win, but it sure would be nice to get a 1-2-3 ninth once in awhile.

Re: Apps vs. Canisius in South Carolina
Sorry guys, I lost phone coverage halfway through the first game. We split the DH, winning the first game 8-4 and losing the second 4-3 on a disputed play in the 8th where it appeared we hit a bloop single down the RF line that hit the chalk, scoring two runs. However the Umpire called a foul ball which Jones came out of the dugout to argue.
We play again tomorrow at Noon. I will miss that one as I have to go out of town in the morning.

Thanks for the report. That second one was a tough one to lose. At least Canisius is a better quality opponent than in previous years.appstate77 wrote:Sorry guys, I lost phone coverage halfway through the first game. Jones might want to tinker with the lineup some more to ensure we get some runners on base ahead of our best hitters.

Not looking good in the bottom of the eighth. Down 10-0.

Maybe the last place Sun Belt prediction is justified. Things have really changed since Pollard left.hapapp wrote:Lose 10-3.

What the hell is a Canisius? Thought hoops season was bad. This one might be really bad.

Canisius won their conference and had an RPI ranking of 71 last year, before we start throwing stones.
While I agree these are the types of series we should be winning, they aren't a terrible program.

I'm as irritated as the next about this weekend, but they sky's not falling. Davidson, who we should've beaten last weekend, swept two from Michigan this weekend. Take it for what it's worthSaint3333 wrote:Canisius won their conference and had an RPI ranking of 71 last year, before we start throwing stones.
