Billy Jones subbed out Dobson, Davis, Pierson and Atwood for Carson Jones, Seagle, little Zupzic and Holmes in the 5th down 3-0. This snapped Pierson's nation-leading 43-game on-base streak. This looked like a waving the white flag moment. Then those players helped rally the team in the 8th and 9th to tie the game.
