Fox COY?

Unread post by Saint3333 » Sun Mar 08, 2015 10:21 am

GS will likely win honors, but Coach Fox deserves some consideration.

Takes over a program with 5 D1 wins, all over 290+ RPI teams. Then all incoming recruits ask and receive a release, two of the top four players coming back are academics casualties and another promising freshman transfers.

Fox scrambles to fill the roster long after the recruiting period is over, deals with a couple of injuries from post players and takes a team picked to finish dead last to a 6th place finish.

While the SBC was down this year they still finished 5 spots higher than the SoCon.

Great start Coach Fox, looking forward to next year.

By any measurement criteria, our MBB greatly exceeded expectations this year. I am very excited to see how Fox builds this program, basically from ashes. So far, after year one, great job!!!

I watched his command of the team and the game yesterday. Solid is all I can say and I can't wait for next year.

I may be krazy as a loon, but I think JFox still has a shot at C-o-Y. He's had one of the hottest teams in the league over the last couple of weeks. Byington's GaSouth Iggles lost two of their last three. I'm gonna hope for Jim Fox until I learn the title went elsewhere. Image

He is certainly deserving of the award knowing all that we do about the program he inherited. Unfortunately most people outside of our program don't realize just how bad it was when he took over.
