Re: Price gets probation
I hope Price's attorney didn't let him appear in court with that hair "do." He wore dreads in his playing days at ASU, but I never saw him with this look when he was on campus. He needs a tough probation officer who'll command and demand reasonable and lawful behavior and instill at least a modicum of self-respect in the guy. He's worth saving from himself, but it may be a long curvy road. I wish him well.

Ahh, this would be his fourth chance if I remember right. Maybe third, not sure. I wish him well, but my guess is he will slip up during this probation period and end up doing some time. If he couldn't keep it together when he was a star on the football team with ENORMOUS earning potential after his 4 years, how is he going to in obscurity?

"According to the N.C. Department of Corrections, Price does not have any previous criminal history in this state."
Now granted, he had the public intoxication charge but he's a year and a half removed from this stuff. Maybe he's refocused. Hell I got drunk when I was underage and acted a fool... although I never did choke anyone...

Re: Price gets probation
Of all the things to criticize about this guy you go after his hair?? He looks exactly the same as he did on campus except his dreads are longer.
I once saw a dirty hippie playing the bongos directly in front of the convocation center on 321 with the exact same hairstyle and believe me when I say Sean wore it much, much better.
Back on topic; I would be shocked if he ever donned the black and gold again and I sincerely hope he doesn't.

You can't be serious. He's already had a second if not third chance.Yosef10 wrote:BRING THAT MAN BACK

Re: Price gets probation
I would agree. The axiom of "addition by subtraction" played out well here. The last 6 games were wins and the other receivers stepped up. To bring him back after all his history would IMO be a slap in the face of returning players. Just my $0.02 worth.Saint3333 wrote:You can't be serious. We don't slide at Appalachian State. It's a sign of weakness.

Re: Price gets probation
There's nothing wrong with his hair; let's just hope his attitude has adjusted and maybe the fact that he would face actual jail time if he doesn't straighten up will put him straight.
Price now has a limited window to get in football shape and play somewhere if he wants to; the choice is his. Maybe he could land at Georgia Military or similar JUCO and they could teach him some discipline, how to hit the books and help him land another scholarship somewhere. I doubt it would be App, but if he does that and does it well he will have plenty of opportunities. If not, it is some real talent wasted as he does have NFL potential.

Sean's football-playing days are likely over. While he's on probation, he'll be required to have a job. So i'm thinking who's going to hire him? To do what? I don't know if he's a gifted musician; but even if he is, there aren't many Reggae bands to hook up with in The High Country.
He will have to work. He has to eat, pay rent, pay his attorney, pay his probation fees, fines and court costs. Car. Gas. Insurance. You get my point.

Re: Price gets probation
Not sure what his academic standing is, but his best route might be to go juco or D2 for a year, then declare for the draft. I'm with you on his talent. If he can just show that he's gotten his head on straight and can find a pro day somewhere to work out for scouts, he can still make it.SpeedkingATL wrote:There's nothing wrong with his hair; let's just hope his attitude has adjusted and maybe the fact that he would face actual jail time if he doesn't straighten up will put him straight.

Re: Price gets probation
He will probably end up at Alabama playing for Saban. He believes in second chances (or 3rd or 4th).

Re: Price gets probation
I'm pretty sure that attending school full time would meet his conditions of probation. I'm not sure what school will pick him up and he would be limited to in-state institutions, but if it's what he wants, I hope he straightens out and makes go of it. If I recall, Price seemed like he had lot of potential both on and off he field. He seemed to mess up when alcohol was involved, so hoping he learns the lesson that needs to be learned. I wouldn' be in favor of taking him back at App, but I sincerely hope he gets his life together and succeeds in whatever he attempts.asu66 wrote:I live in the real world of work. Re: Price gets probation
Campbell Camels would make sense. Small town, with little options for trouble, and a strong coach in Mike Minter. The religious tie at the school may be the perfect support structure for him.
Wherever he ends up, I hope he can make the most of himself going forward.

Re: Price gets probation
He was given a HUGE BREAK. The felony was reduced to simple assault with UNsupervised probation. All he will have to do is pay any court fees and that's it.

I guess Saban's second chance attempt didn't work out after all but he is not sorry for trying to turn the kid's life around.

Re: Price gets probation
The junior college route sounds good but there just aren't many of those left to choose from. Most have gone 4 year.EastHallApp wrote:Not sure what his academic standing is, but his best route might be to go juco or D2 for a year, then declare for the draft. I'm with you on his talent.
