Just wrapped up from New Orleans. The 7-seed Apps couldn't overcome Sun Belt POY Audrea Gamble and Arkansas State and lost by 15, 67-52 in the Sun Belt Quarterfinals.
The team finishes 14-16 and it's the final App game for seniors Maryah Sydnor and Katie Mallow.

Pretty darn first season for Coach Elderkin. A lot of turmoil to overcome and losing your best player to injury for a span. Looking forward to see what the recruiting gives us!

Re: App WBB season ends 67-52 vs Ark State
Elderkin inherited a virtual nightmare of a situation. She pulled the young women together and made some noise in a new league. Maryah Sydnor was steady and dependable all season (before and after her injury); but the remainder of the team regularly shot poorly from the floor and averaged double-digit turnover stats.
Today, our ladies shot 32.3 percent from the floor and committed 19 turnovers. That's about par for our season and it's not championship caliber play. Elderkin has to get better output from these players or get better talent.
She needs a solid PG and a couple of impact scorers. Sydnor will be difficult to replace.
