My wife's company will be supplying 5000 noisemakers to the first 5000 students. They are going to be the personal megaphones. So much better than the thundersticks.

Let's all do our part to take a tone from each person giving them out and deposit them directly into the trash. Especially if you're in or near the student sections.

I'm a little amazed by the hatred toward the thunder sticks. I do get that they don't make enough noise. They do make for a pretty cool visual, and on really cold days when gloves are needed, they don't hurt the volume much. Generally, I bring them home for my son (7) to play with and that's about it.
