Our new and improved strength and conditioning will be tested early.

Can't be any worse than the last App v ECU game I attended. Had to be over 100 degrees the entire game. Folks were heading to the concourse just to cool off in the shade. That had to be worst game I ever attended as far as conditions. I would take a snow game over that mess.

12:30 is less than ideal, but I'll still be there with 3 others. Just bought the tickets yesterday and renewed my yosef pledge! Go Apps!

Night games in Memorial Stadium are top of the line, was hoping for one of those on ESPN3. 12:30 is brutal. Deep South football the 2nd week of the season before 6 pm should be banned. Prepare to roast on an open flame. Went to Clemson vs UGA last year the first week of the season in Athens and even on the shady side of Sanford Stadium at 5 pm we were toast.

Glad I'm going to the game, but ESPN3? Really? That's BS. On the other hand, if Wofford fairs better the week before, maybe not such a big deal.

No. The Wofford/Clemson game is on the ACC Network the week before. ACC Network announced their games today.

The hottest game I've EVER been to was 2005 at Furman. OH MY GOD IT WAS MISERABLE!!! Yeah I wanted this to be a night game but I expected it to be at 12. Oh well, we just gotta go in and give 'em hell. Wear those boys down and keep 'em on their feet with a mix of runs and passes. We can do either efficiently. Marcus and Terrence will both get their share of carries I'm sure

Any word on the home opener vs Howard? Will it be the usual 6 pm that we have had lately or 3:30 since we have two night games already?

Good thing coach sirignano formerly worker in Columbia aka hell and should have some knowledge on preparing for heat. Him plus our newfound use of the health and sciences department should have our guys prepared and educated.

Maybe we will get lucky with the weather. That last ECU game was ridiculous. There is a two week difference from last week of August and sometimes you can get lucky in mid September that it's not blazing.

You said a mouthful! That game was the hottest I've ever attended with the humidity and heat bearing down with no breeze. Wow!

The ECU game was an oven, over 300 reported heat injuries. By half time, most fans abandoned the stadium. We'll be at Clemson with four.

I heard 300 people were hospitalized from Dowdy that day including one heart attack and one woman who went into labor. Our group was sweaty and sunburned, but avoided medical attention thankfully. Greenville is a miserable place.

The Samford game a few years ago was pretty bad too. They had a number of people on cots getting fluids by halftime and famously ran out of water before the half. If I hadn't had my App tailgate tent I might have had heatstroke by game time. 12:30 is better than 3:30 IMO.
A number of us will be making the trip from ATL.
