softball signee

I know a few of you on here keep up with sports other than football and basketball. Just passing along that Ashley Best from Ledford Senior High School had her official signing ceremony today to play softball at app according to a friend that works there. I know nothing about her so those with better resources could probably find something.

Ashley was tabbed All-Conference, All-Area, All-District, and All-State her sophomore and junior years. Named offensive MVP her sophomore year. Davidson County Athlete of the Week her junior year. Led Ledford HS team with 43 RBIs her junior year. Had her 100th career hit on April 20 of her junior year. Her 15 doubles during her sophomore year and 31 for her career already rank her among the all time leaders for NC. Helped her club team, Carolina Cardinals, to a runner-up finish at the 2012 ASA 18U A National Championship and the 2012 ASA Region 4 Championship.

Below is a link, but there is a typo as she actually hit .442 last year, not .424.

Coach Wesley is doing an outstanding job! The entire recruiting class that she has just signed is very talented AND the 2014 recruiting class that verbally committed last week is very strong, too! The team returns a lot of starters and went undefeated this fall. I'm expecting great things out of the team this year and in the future!
